Is this the “logic” taught in college today?

(HH Here: Sometimes I ponder on just what goes on in the minds of people who are able, seemingly with no effort at all, apply ethical rules to others that they never apply to themselves. What does it feel like to live behind eyes that see no problem with denying others the rights they feel are essential to their very existence? Let us venture behind the corneas of Monira Gamal-Eldin, President of the Temple University Muslim Students Association and see what we find there.

Geert Wilders is a controversial Conservative Dutch politician who speaks about the threat from Muslim immigrants who refuse to assimilate and are changing the egalitarian countries of Europe to resemble more the tribal societies they “fled” from. Wilders is anti-racist and pro-Jewish but suspicious of conservative Muslims and their political agenda in the West.

The Muslim Students Association is well known for sponsoring blatantly hateful anti-Semitic speakers and events that actually promote violence and genocide. What we have here in the email below is a case of the pot calling itself clear glass and the glassware black:)

Subject: Statement from the Muslim Students Association on Geert Wilder’s visit
October 14, 2009

The Temple University Muslim Students Association (MSA), one of the largest, most active and socially conscious student organizations on Temple’s campus, is issuing this public statement of protest concerning the invitation of Geert Wilders to address the Temple community on October 20, 2009. “

(HH: Right off the top we see the egotism of this gentle lady. The other student organizations are, in her words, smaller, lazier and not as “good” as the MSA and so it behooves the above addressed to listen up to what this noble organization has to say. Does this young lady really think the other groups all consider themselves to be NON-socially conscious? Or does she just feel that to be socially conscious and not agree with her is an oxymoron? Point of advice my dear, if you don’t want people to think you are putting them down say something like “ …(MSA) an organization with substantial membership that strives to be active and socially conscious.” See? You get the same info across without making yourself sound like you think you sweat perfume.)

“Geert Wilders is a far-right Dutch MP who is infamous for his anti-Islamic rhetoric and extreme hatred towards Muslims. A person who has been tried in the Netherlands Supreme Court for his hate speech concerning Islam,…”

(HH:That is a lie, there has been no trial as of yet and the prosecutors had to be ordered to take on the case. It is not expected to end in conviction. Stay tuned, but to say he has been TRIED is false)

“banned from the United Kingdom due to the threat he poses to community harmony,”

(HH: Another falsehood, the ban was because of threatened violence by OPPONENTS of Wilders and it has since been overturned and declared baseless.)

“…and is concurrently being charged for violating anti-hate laws in the European Union, should not be allowed to address the Temple community.

Temple MSA speaks for the many Muslims and socially conscious students and faculty on campus when we say…”

(Hold the phone!!! MSA claims to SPEAK FOR ALL MUSLIMS on the campus? Have you polled ALL the Muslims and received their endorsement as their spokesperson? Do you have their PERMISSION to speak ex cathedra from your navel on their behalf? Do you also have some sort of special political x-ray glasses that enable you to see that any students and faculty who are not Muslim and do NOT agree with you cannot be “socially conscious”?)

“…that the presence of Geert Wilders on our campus is a breech of Temple University’s pledge to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all students and faculty on campus.”

(In just what way is the “wellbeing and safety of ANYONE being threatened by Mr. Wilders presence?)

“The Muslim population at Temple feels attacked, threatened, and ultimately unsafe that Mr. Wilders has been invited to voice his hate-driven opinions.”

(this is just amazing considering the hateful venom spewed across campuses all over America by MSA’s invited guests! Or are you renouncing your welcome to supporters of Hamas and Hezbollah and those who justify suicide bombing and especially those who condone the killing of Jews. Do you intend to take this stand with the next CAIR endorsed apologist for Sharia wants to come speak on how Israel must be eliminated for peace to reign? No? I didn’t think so but I had to give you the benefit of the doubt. )

“The fact alone that backpacks are prohibited for entry to this event reinforces our argument that this creates an unsafe atmosphere where prejudiced, racist and vehemently hateful words will be disguised under the veil of academia…”

(Excuse me while I wipe up some water and blow my nose. I haven’t laughed that hard in years. Are you REALLy saying: ‘The MSA intends to foment protest that might well become violent (HH: as they have at other MSA events at Temple and other campuses) and feels it is the fault of the administration for allowing a speaker that makes us so mad we cannot control ourselves as sane adults. We feel that to ban backpacks that might contain weapons with which our zombies MIGHT attack Mr. Wilders [as we have threatened] just shows how provocative he is! If there is violence it will be HIS FAULT that WE commit it! Can’t you see that you must ban him to SAVE US from his all –powerful ability to make us feel so scared and threatened that we must riot.”}

(HH: The sound you now hear is Thomas Jefferson gagging.)

…”Temple MSA deplores the decision made by Temple College Republicans, The David Horowitz Freedom Center, Temple University Purpose, Temple Student Activities, and Temple University as an institution of higher learning, for welcoming Geert Wilders when so many have found his speech to be repugnant to society as a whole.”

(HH: And just when did having controversial speakers at a college become forbidden or even unusual? It surely wasn’t when YOUR last speaker came by now was it? But again, maybe I am being unfair. I guess that if a Jewish student group felt that one of YOUR speaker’s message was, how did you put it again? Here it is: “repugnant to society as a whole.” then you would cancel said speaker, right? Would you? Again you say no. Well, you can’t say I am not giving you all the rope you need. )

“We condemn Temple University for being the first university in the United States to allow Mr. Wilders to address their population and hope that the administration realizes the reputation and ideologies they are fostering not only to the Temple community, but to the world…”

(HH: Are you SURE you want to go there? After all if the admin start thinking about the reputation and ideologies YOUR group fosters you might find not only your speakers but your entire organization banned instead of Mr. Wilders.)

“The decision to allow Mr. Wilders to share his viewpoints is a danger not only for the public safety of Muslims and the honor of the core principles of Islam, but also for academic integrity and objectivity on campus…”

(HH: A man speaks and the “public safety” of MUSLIMS is in danger? I guess you are worried about one getting hurt in the riot they hope to start when Wilders speaks. So stop inciting them to violate the law and there is no problem, right? And as to the “honor of the core principals of Islam” WHO THE HECK CARES? This is not Saudi Arabia my dear, the so called honor of the core principals of ANY religion has no protection under the law. Here let me prove it to you. Jesus SAVES, he dribbles down court, he shoots, he scores! Why did it take God 40 years to lead the Jews through the desert? Ans: Do you know how long it takes to get 300,000 women through two porta-potties? Famous Koranic Mistakes: Mixing up the words for ALCOHOL and CAMEL URINE. See? No lightening from the sky, no sirens of the thought police approaching. Get with the program; no university worth the name will suppress free speech simply because you are thin-skinned about the weaknesses of your personal faith.

And if that wasn’t enough, in a final burst of silliness you claim that if the college does not discriminate in ways you define it cannot be objective. Orwell could have written TWO books about your political “morality”.)

“We strongly urge that his invitation be rescinded immediately in order to foster appreciation of free speech that is not based on hatred and discrimination.

(HH: Free speech is not based on anything but the idea that ALL speech that does not directly incite violence is protected; ESPECIALLY when the majority find it objectionable.

The West has never confused religion and politics quite as thoroughly as Islam has but what it did do in that direction began to be rooted out of our culture about 300 years ago by The Enlightenment and was killed dead two hundred years ago by the First Amendment. We protect the speech of not just “socially conscious” citizens but Neo-Nazis, Klu-Klux Klan members and even the most hateful of all, the ones that shamelessly promote the total enslavement of the human world; ISLAMISTS. Yes, even your bloodthirsty heroes can say their say in America. Ain’t it grand?

I hope you enjoy Wilders’ speech. Try not to get arrested too early and miss it!)

“Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.
Monira Gamal-Eldin
President of the Temple Muslim Students Association”

(HH: Parting Shot: You might try enrolling in Logic 101 as well as any Western Civ. course not taught by a Marxist. In any case good luck with your career with CAIR.

The American Fight for Free Speech by Geert Wilders

30 Apr, 2009

Why (am I) in America Fighting for Free Speech?

Freedom of expression is under attack. This is a theme I am addressing here in America this week as part of the Free Speech Summit being held in Florida under the sponsorship of the Florida Security Council. And it is clear that a serious discussion of the threats to our freedoms in the West cannot come too soon.

For example, my friend Rep. Adam Hasner, the majority leader of the Florida House of Representatives was attacked in a press release issued by the national office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on Monday for daring to appear at a private event with me this past weekend. Because of that appearance, CAIR is demanding that Rep. Hasner step down or be removed from his position.
This attack on a friend and fellow legislator is of grave concern to me. CAIR’s assault on Rep. Hasner strikes at the very heart of our most basic freedoms. In fact, it is but the latest episode in that organization’s long-running and determined effort to silence its critics. Indeed, CAIR seeks to suppress all those who dare to challenge the theo-political-legal program that authoritative Islam calls “Shariah.” In so doing, they are seeking to impose what amount to Shariah blasphemy codes.

It is especially important to note that Adam Hasner is not only being attacked for comments he made that are deemed offensive by those who seek to impose Shariah in America. His career is now being threatened for comments made by others in his presence – in this case, by me. Thus the Islamists are infringing not only on this country’s constitutionally protected freedom of expression but also freedom of association.

If a high-ranking public official – elected by the people and appointed to his leadership position by his peers – cannot speak honestly and openly about his concerns, and do so in places and the company of his choosing, without fear of suppression or other retribution, who among us is safe?

I know these threats firsthand. Even before the international release last year of my short documentary film, Fitna, I have faced constant death threats and protests. My name has appeared on assassination lists. I have been subject of an Al-Qaeda death fatwa. I will be charged with blasphemy and contempt of Muslims by Jordanian prosecutors. I face prosecutions in my own country and elsewhere. I was recently banned from the United Kingdom because the Home Secretary believed my mere presence in the country constituted a national security threat.

In this trying time let us recall that in the darkest hours of World War II, when the world faced a global threat from German Nazism, Italian Fascism and Japanese Imperialism, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill challenged his people to rise to the occasion and fight. He told them, “Never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

This is why I am in America this week talking about the fight we now must wage in the West to defend our liberties. Freedom of association is one of the basic liberties guaranteed not only by the US Constitution but by the European Convention of Human Rights. And yet CAIR wants to silence and punish Rep. Hasner for associating with me. If America needs a poster child for the threat to our freedoms from Islamic extremism, no better example than CAIR could be found.

This episode underscores that the threat to freedom posed by creeping Shariah imposed by CAIR’s type of stealthy jihad is not just a problem in the Middle East, or Europe. It is also a problem in America.

I will not be bullied by Islamic thugs who want to use our freedoms to destroy those very same freedoms. And I will not stand by as they seek to do it to others.

Founded and directed by members of the international network of the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR has an explicit agenda to subvert our freedoms and impose Islamic Shariah law on non-Muslims. This is not speculation on my part. This is the testimony of one of CAIR’s founders and chairman emeritus, Omar Ahmed, who told a California audience in 1998 that this was their agenda. “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant,” he said. “The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” When CAIR officials say that this is their ultimate objective, we should believe them.

In just the past few weeks, the Council on American Islamic Relations has sought to silence another courageous lawmaker, Rep. Peter King, the ranking member on the Homeland Security Committee in the US House of Representatives. His “offense”? Rep. King correctly observed that CAIR and other Muslims were not providing enough assistance to the law enforcement authorities in combating terrorism-related activities in American mosques.

CAIR has attempted to silence other critics, as well. They have sued bloggers; they have defamed journalists who have asked too many questions about their terrorist ties; and they have tried to intimidate publications that have published articles challenging their putative “civil rights mission.” If they get away with it, CAIR will seek to threaten the careers of more politicians with the courage to say things and associate with those of challenge Shariah and the effort to impose it in this country.

It is utterly hypocritical that, on the one hand, CAIR claims to be defending freedom of religion in attacking Rep. Hasner when, on the other, they actively seek support from Islamic regimes that are among the worst of the worst human rights abusers on the planet – and notorious for suppressing religious freedoms.

I have been told that in an Arabic News article that CAIR officials have solicited and received financial support from Saudi Prince Al-Walid Bin Talal, whose country outlaws any religious expression except its own Wahhabi strain of Islam. You can’t even own a Bible or wear a cross in the country run by their patrons, and yet CAIR wants to lecture us about religious freedom?

The land for CAIR’s Capitol Hill office in Washington D.C. was purchased with a $250,000 donation from the Saudi-backed Islamic Development Bank and the deed to their headquarters is held by the foundation of United Arab Emirates Defense Minister Gen. Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. Sheik al-Maktoum’s country prohibits any non-Islamic religious proselytizing and threatens anyone caught with distribution of non-Muslim religious literature with imprisonment.

Whether it is in America or back home in my own country, we are under attack by groups like CAIR who aim to silence their critics. This is why I am here in America. I aim to continue to fight regardless of the threats and intimidation and I am asking Americans to join with us. And when they attack good men like Rep. Adam Hasner, we must realize that they are attacking each and every one of us and the freedoms that we hold dear.

Christian Riots in Europe

Christians Outraged by Jesus Made out of Lego

April 12 (Associated Reuters) — Christians took to the streets all across Scandinavia today to protest the unveiling of a statue of Jesus made entirely out of Lego blocks.

Gangs of rioting youths threw paving stones and bottles, broke shop windows, set cars on fire, burned Israeli flags, and chased hapless Jews down side streets.

One angry demonstrator, dressed in an “I (heart) Jesus” T-shirt and wearing a cross around his neck, told reporters that Christianophobia must not be tolerated. “They can’t insult our Savior this way! There are 2.1 billion Christians in the world, and we will not sit idly by while our Messiah is dishonored!”

He added, “I believe in free speech, but there are limits.”

The Swedish government assured the Christian community that the perpetrators of this cowardly act would be found swiftly and brought to justice.

Dr. Sami Alrabaa: a Muslim voice of reason

Wilders Prosecution is a Welcome Opportunity to Expose Islam

Dr. Sami Alrabaa

Prosecuting Geert Wilders, member of the Dutch Parliament, is a welcome opportunity to expose fascist Islam and radical Muslims. Wilders and his lawyers do not need to go far away to fetch crystal clear evidence that Islam, i.e. the Koran and Hadeeth, incite to violence and hatred, and radical Muslims are behind numerous crimes against humanity.

Ali Gom’a, the grand mufti of Egypt, the highest Muslim religious authority in the world, supports murdering non-Muslims. In the daily Al Ahram (April 7, 2008), he says, “Muslims must kill non-believers wherever they are unless they convert to Islam.” He also compares non-Muslims to apes and pigs, not only the Jews.

Muhammad Sayyid Al Tantawi, president of Al Azhar University also approves of killing and maiming Christians, Jews, and other infidels. He added, “This is not my personal view. This what the Shari’a Law says, the law of Allah, the only valid law on the earth.”

Yousef Al Qaradhawi, the spiritual leader of the fundamentalist organization, the Muslim Brothers, urged on Al Jazeera TV (Jan. 9, 2009) Muslims to kill the Jews, not only in Israel but also worldwide. He added, “No peace can be made between us (Muslims) and the non-believers. This what our holy book says. This what Allah says.”

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed al Sheikh said on Iqra’ TV channel, “Killing producers who show women unveiled is legal.”

The Saudi Sheikh Saleh Al-Lehadan, head of the Supreme Judiciary Council, told Al Watan daily, (March 25, 2008) “After getting rid of the Jews in our Arab land, we must turn to the Christians. They have three options: either they convert to Islam, or leave, or pay Jizia (protection taxes). Further, there is not such a thing as Shiites, Sufis, etc. There are only Sunnis. All these sects must renounce their pagan beliefs and return to Sunna, the right path of Islam.”

Most recently, demonstrators in Berlin and Munich, and elsewhere in Germany, raised banners reading, “Hamas! Hamas! Jews to the gas.” The police did not arrest any one of them and nobody filed a court case against them for inciting to murder, which according to German law is punishable.

German apologists like Claudia Roth and Cem Ozdemir (a Muslim of a Turkish decent), chairpersons of the German Green Party, said in a press conference in Berlin (January 20, 2009), “Wilders’ film “Fitna” has contributed to worsening our relations with the Muslims around the globe. Geert Wilders is hurting the feelings of Muslims.”

I said in the conference, “This is not true. I know many Muslims who approve of Wilders’ critique of Islam. They do not feel offended. Only fascist Muslims feel so.” Roth and Ozdemir ignored my remark.

The truth of the matter is Fitna is simply reflecting how radical Muslims think and act, inspired and encouraged by the Koran.

Wilders’ comparison of the Koran to Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf and describing it as a fascist book is not inappropriate. Hitler referred to the Jews as “rats and vermin” and the Koran and fascist Muslims call the Jews “The descendants of apes and pigs.”

…Ahmed Marcouch, a prominent member of the Dutch Labor Party, of Moroccan descent, …told ARD, German TV (December 19, 2008), “Not only many Westerners approve of Fitna, but also many decent Muslims like me, but they dare not say that openly. Fascist Islam is a virus that is not only infecting Western societies, but also Muslim societies. This virus must be exposed and dealt with by all means.”

Wilders is simply warning the West and moderate Muslims that fascist Islam is a devastating threat to humanity. This virus was born in the Arabian Peninsula and is spreading across the world.

Wilders’ prosecution is a defining point in the clash between fascist Muslims and the rest of the world. Regardless whether he is convicted or not, he must be thanked for his courage. He is simply disseminating the truth about a violent and hate-inciting “religion.” His message is very clear: “Westerners, wake up before it is too late.”

Zaghlul Al Najjar rejoices in the rise and spread of Islam across the globe. He writes in the Egyptian daily Al Ahram (November 14, 2008), “Islam now is everywhere. Gorgeous mosques are build everywhere in the heart of Europe, in Rome and Cologne. The number of Muslims all over the world is also rising. More than 20 million Muslims live now in Europe. Alone in Germany there are 3.5. Demographers estimate that the majority of citizens in Germany will be Muslims in the year 2050. Two decades ago very few women wore the Hijab (headscarf). Now you can see them everywhere. Sooner or later, Islam will be in control of the whole world. This time, we don’t need to fight the infidel West with our troops as we did at the gates of Vienna. This time we’ll infiltrate the West and convert it to Islam, willy-nilly.”

Ramadan said, “My brothers and sisters, we must exploit the so-called democracy and freedom of speech here in the West to reach our goals. Our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and the Koran teach us that we must use every conceivable means and opportunity to defeat the enemies of Allah. Tell the infidels in public, we respect your laws and your constitutions, which we Muslims believe that these are as worthless as the paper they are written on. The only law we must respect and apply is the Shari’s.”

Wilders’ Freedom Party leads polls

Mr Wilders’ popularity has been rising ever since an Amsterdam appeals court decided to try him for anti-Muslim comments six weeks ago. He has since received even more exposure following Great Britain’s refusal of permission to enter the country. He had been invited to Britain to show his anti-Koran film Fitna to members of the House of Lords. Although he landed at London’s Heathrow Airport, he was denied permission to enter the country and forced to return to the Netherlands.

Can anyone explain why this man is branded as “Right Wing”??

Speech in the U.S. Senate, February 26, 2009
Thank you very much for inviting me. And – to the immigration authorities – thank you for letting
me into this great country. It is always a pleasure to cross a border without being sent back on the first
I feel very honored to have the privilege to speak and to show my short documentary Fitna here in
this heart of your democracy, here in the US Senate.
Today, the dearest of our many freedoms is under attack all throughout Europe. Free speech is no
longer a given. What we once considered a natural element of our existence, our birth right, is now something
we once again have to battle for.
As you might know, I will be prosecuted in my own country, because of my film Fitna, my remarks
regarding Islam, and my view concerning what some call a ‘religion of peace.’ A few years from
now, I might be a criminal. And on top op that The Kingdom of Jordan also threatens to prosecute me for
insulting Islam and ask for my extradition.
Whether or not I end up in jail is not the most pressing issue; I gave up my freedom four and a half
years ago. I am under full-time police protection ever since because of death threats from Muslims and terrorist
groups linked to Al Qaeda. In the last few years I lived in different safe houses, army-barracks and
yes: even prison cells in order to be safe. But it’s not about me. The real question is: will free speech be put
behind bars? And the larger question for the West is: will we leave Europe’s children the values of Rome,
Athens and Jerusalem, or the values of Mecca, Teheran and Gaza?
This is what video blogger Pat Condell said in one of his latest you tube appearances. He says: “If
I talked about Muslims the way their holy book talks about me, I’d be arrested for hate speech.” Now, Mr.
Condell is a stand-up comedian, but in the video he is dead serious and the joke is on us. Hate speech will
always be used against the people defending the West – in order to please and appease Muslims. They can
say whatever they want: throw gays from apartment buildings, kill the Jews, slaughter the infidel, destroy
Israel, jihad against the West. Whatever their book tells them.
Ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake, my prosecution is a full-fledged attack by the left on
freedom of speech in order to please Muslims. In fact it was started by a member of the Dutch Labour
party. If you read what the court of Amsterdam has written about me, you read the same texts that cultural
relativists produce. In fact, cultural relativism is the worst disease in Europe today. Most of our politicians
believe that all cultures are equal. Well let me tell you they are not.
Our Western culture based on Christianity, Judaism and humanism is in every aspect better than
the Islamic culture. Like the brave apostate Wafa Sultan said: it’s a comparison between a culture of reason
and a culture of barbarism.
Back to my country. How low can we go in the Netherlands? About my prosecution, The Wall
Street Journal noted: “this is no small victory for Islamic regimes seeking to export their censorship laws to
wherever Muslims reside.” The Journal concluded that by The Netherlands accepting the free speech standards
of, “Saudi-Arabia,” I stand correct in my observation that – I quote – “Muslim immigration is eroding
traditional Dutch liberties.”
Now, if the Wall Street Journal has the moral clarity to see that my prosecution is the logical outcome
of our disastrous, self-hating, cultural relativists immigration policies, then why can’t the European
liberal establishment see the same thing? Why aren’t they getting at least a little bit scared by the latest
news out of, for example, the UK. News that tells that the Muslim population in Britain is growing ten
times as fast as the rest of society. Why don’t they care?
The answer is: they don’t care because they are blinded by their cultural relativism. Their disdain
of the West is so much greater than the appreciation of our many liberties. And therefore, they are willing
to sacrifice everything. The left once stood for women rights, gay rights, equality, democracy. Now, they
favor immigration policies that will end all this. Many even lost their decency. Elite politicians in Europe
have no problem to participate in or finance demonstrations where Muslims shout “Death to the Jews.”
Seventy years after Auschwitz they know of no shame.
Two weeks ago, I tried to get into Britain, a fellow EU country. I was invited to give a speech in
Parliament. However, upon arrival at London airport, I was refused entry into the UK, detained for three
hours and sent back on the first plane to The Netherlands. The reason: I would threaten community harmony
and therefore public security. And all this because of my film, Fitna. An absolute disgrace. The British
Home Secretary even publicly admitted on BBC TV that she never watched my film Fitna but decided
to ban from the UK anyway.
If I would have been admitted to the UK would have loved to have reminded the audience of a
great man who once spoke in the House of Commons. In 1982 President Reagan gave a speech there very
few people liked. Reagan called upon the West to reject communism and defend freedom. He introduced a
phrase: ‘evil empire.’ Reagan’s speech stands out as a clarion call to preserve our liberties. I quote: If history
teaches anything, it teaches self-delusion in the face of unpleasant facts is folly. What Reagan meant is
that you cannot run away from history, you cannot escape the dangers of ideologies that are out to destroy
you. Denial is no option.
Ladies and gentlemen, I suggest to defend freedom in general and freedom of speech in particular.
I propose the withdrawal of all hate speech legislation in Europe. I propose a European First Amendment.
In Europe we should defend freedom of speech like you Americans do. In Europe freedom of speech
should be extended, instead of restricted. Of course, calling for violence or unjustly yelling “fire” in a
crowded theatre have to be punished, but the right to criticize ideologies or religions are necessary conditions
for a vital democracy. As George Orwell once said: “If liberty means anything at all, it means the
right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”
Let us defend freedom of speech and let us gain strength and work hard to become even stronger.
Millions think just like you and me. Millions think liberty is precious. That democracy is better than
Shariah. And after all, why should we be afraid? Our many freedoms and our prosperity are the result of
centuries of endeavor. Centuries of hard work and sacrifice. We do not stand alone.
Ladies and gentlemen, our enemies should know: we will never apologize for being free men, we
will never give in. We will never surrender. There is no stronger power than the force of free men fighting
for the great cause of liberty. Because freedom is the birthright of all man.
Freedom must prevail, and freedom will prevail. Thank you very much.

Geert Wilders on Capitol Hill: another hatchet job from the Left

The Faith Divide

From the Washington Post a little piece by Eboo Patelan who brings us together so others can drive us apart.

“There is a foreign element threatening America. He believes the Qur’an promotes violence.”

In other words, he has actually read it, and understands the Islamic concept of Abrogation

“He creates videos of Muslims committing terrorist acts and hopes mainstream media plays them.”

No, he COMPILES videos made by Muslims promoting terror and films of Muslims committing terror then compares that to the texts that the Muslims mentioned above who promoted and committed the terror say is the REASON they committed terror. IS this too hard a concept for Mr. Patel?

“He is committed to the clash of civilizations — Islam vs. the West.”

My take on it is that he just wants the Muslims to stop clashing against our civilization; he could care less what they do in their own lands.

“Britain, our primary ally, denied him entry, claiming he was a threat to public order. “

Nice touch there, a simple statement cum indictment that totally ignores the fact that the "threat to public order" represented by Mr. Wilders in Britain was the result of a threat by the only Muslim member of the House of Lords to rally 10,000 Muslims to physically prevent Mr. Wilders from entering Parliament! But, Wilders is the threat, not the Muslims to Mr. Patel!

“Now he wants to come here.  This foreign element does not speak Arabic. He does not pray five times a day. He does not have a beard. He is not even a Muslim. He is Geert Wilders, a Member of Parliament from a right-wing party in the Netherlands.”

I am still waiting for someone to tell me what makes this man so "right Wing". He speaks in defense of freedom of religion, against anti-Semitism, against people who are against LBGT and women’s rights. Sounds like a Moderate Liberal to me!

“Why he’s so interested in amplifying Osama bin Laden’s message that Islam promotes violence and division I don’t know.”

Yes you do Mr. Patel!  He wants to bring to light the fact that the best financed and most influential voices in Islam today are the most extremist. i.e. Saudi, Wahabi influenced madrassas and mosques. Bin Laden remember? He wants to STOP the spread of THAT version of Islam and give the moderates of the religion the space to reform it from within; instead of fear for their lives from the moment they reveal they are TRULY moderate.

“And why he’s being invited to screen his offensive film Fitna in the ornate LBJ room in the U.S. Capitol confuses me too. My friend Keith Ellison, an African-American Congressman from Minnesota and a Muslim, compared it to screening the horribly racist film The Birth of the Nation in the White House.”

Hmm, the film I KNOW OF as The Birth of The Nation is not a compilation of actual films, statements and acts made by those whom the film attacks! The last time I looked it was not a collection of accurate news accounts of the activities of blacks and their own justifications for violence and crime! This kind of extreme hyperbole is not accurate nor  useful in this situation. Shame on you Mr. Patel!

“A lot of people are mad about this. But I don’t think this is the time to get mad. I think this is the time to think strategy, and to remember core American values.”

… Read the rest if you have a strong stomach or enjoy un-spinning the distortions of someone who surely is evil or evilly ignorant.

“Please e-mail On Faith if you’d like to receive an email notification when On Faith sends out a new question.”

Oh yes people PLEASE email them and tell them what you think of this one sided attitude that already knows the truth without looking.
