Congressional Muslim Staffers Association (CMSA) Hides Website after Stonewalling on Board Elections Then Calls for Republicans to Hire CMSA Members

CMSASeries

Today the CMSA (this link goes to the now defunct “public face” of the association) declared its support for the Diversity Initiative in a Congress faced with many new hires as Democrats depart and Republicans arrive; they hope the new Senators and Representatives continue to hire its members despite the changes in political balance. Yet the CMSA itself has never revealed the details of how their controlling members got and keep that control.

Paradoxically they declare that every one working for Congress who self identifies as a Muslim is eligible for membership but, they also claim to represent all “Muslims” including those who DO NOT publically identify; I can’t help think that the only point of this dual stance is to allow Muslims to pretend to the public that they are not Muslim while privately convincing the CMSA board that they are and exercising stealthy voting rights in the assoc. Is this a religion or a political movement?

Heretics Crusade has investigated this and several other aspects of the CMSA and its leadership, making public their opacity and associations; other blogs have done likewise; but the CMSA still arrogantly demands its “right” to influence the Senators, Representatives and other people of power on The Hill in the name of an amorphous group whose numbers are inflated to augment influence while their leadership seems to answer to no law or office willing to reign them in.

Today, as citizen as well as a “pundit” I sent this email to the Committee on House Administration, who purportedly have jurisdiction over organizations of this type.

Good day; I have a question concerning the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association, which operates under your office’s jurisdiction. For the last two years the CMSA has refused to disclose, or even comment on, the elections their charter demands they hold for the executive committee.  No slate of candidates has ever been released nor a tally of votes received by each candidate; yet the board has not changed a single member since 2008.  This has been documented in several posts / articles on the Heretics Crusade website (http://hereticscrusade.com/series/cmsa/) as well as others such as The Jawa Report and Jihad Watch.

My question is this: I would like to know if this is usual conduct for an association of Congressional employees; and if it is not, what will this office be doing to remedy the situation?

I realize that little is likely to result from this email; however I intend to send this post to several moderate and conservative blogs and writers; but, it only takes the right pebble to start an avalanche if a boulder or two gets nudged just right; I have been tossing pebbles for two years, I do not intend to stop now.

CMSA in the News; Praying With Al Qaida Gimme that Ole Time Religion

gotmuslims2

It seems that the MSM has finally caught up with the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association.  I have been writing about them for a couple years now; their biggest problem seems to be with transparency… as in revealing who votes for what candidates and who got how many votes in the election for their executive board… whose members stay the same, year after year… maybe now I will get those 12 articles on the CMSA some coverage!

It seems the MSM has finally noticed that the CMSA associates with some… questionable… Imams and “moderate” Muslim leaders; folks like:

Anwar al-Awlaki, the notorious Al Qaeda cleric believed to be hiding in Yemen and the lone American on the U.S. government’s capture or kill list, who conducted a prayer service on Capitol Hill shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Randall “Ismail” Royer, a former communications associate for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), who confessed in 2004 to receiving jihadist training in Pakistan. He is serving a 20-year prison term.

Anwar Hajjaj, former president of Taibah International Aid Association, which was designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and U.N. in 2004.

Esam Omeish, the former president of the Muslim American Society, who was forced to resign from the Virginia Commission on Immigration in 2007 after calling for “the jihad way,” among other remarks.

Salam Al-Marayati, president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, who was forced to step down from a national terrorism committee post in 1999 for pro-terrorist comments.

Nihad Awad, CAIR executive director, who attended a Hamas meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 that was wiretapped by the FBI.

Johari Abdul Malik, Dar al-Hijrah imam, who made statements in support of convicted and suspected terrorists who attended his mosque.

Tariq Ramadan, a Muslim scholar banned from the U.S. for six years beginning in 2004 for his alleged ties and donations to terror groups. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lifted Ramadan’s ban in January.

—  Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri, the head of a division of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, considered a foreign agent by the U.S.”

Oh and Hey, Assad (Akhter) Who ran in the board elections this year? How many voted and who got how many votes? Hmmmm?

National Muslim Orgs Meet in NY to Slander Moderate NY Muslims

Color-White

It is simply stunning how virulent the present stain of irrational xenophobia that we call Islamophobia has become; today I learned that even the Muslim community has been infected!

I came to the realization of the terrible contagious nature of this disease of the morals in an article in the Huffington Post titled:

This is the fist sign of the slowly waffling “journalist”; there is nothing to tell that this is just about the first mention of any Muslim “indifference” to the project in NYC.

A summit of U.S. Muslim organizations is scheduled to begin Sunday in New York City to address both the project and a rise in anti-Muslim sentiments and rhetoric that has accompanied the nationwide debate over the project.

This is a perfect chance for the American public to find out who the real moderate Muslims in the U.S. are; just take careful note of the “brothers” that the various lackeys of the organizations tied to the Muslim Brotherhood attack in their statements. This whole “summit’ is about nothing more or less than  the Stealth Jihad’s “leaders of Moderate Muslims” coming together to drown out the voice of REAL moderates in the Muslim American community who do not want to sign on to the grand Jihad here in the US.

It has yet to be seen whether the groups will emerge with a firm stand on the proposed community center, dubbed Park51. The primary purpose of the meeting is to talk about ways to combat religious bigotry.

Of course it does, and of course it is; I have a bridge in NY I would like to sell, are you interested?  I have no doubt that they are already working on the final statement; it will decry the cowardly Muslims who have let bigoted Islamophobia intimidated them into not supporting the noble project; venom will also be spewed toward the Islamophobes who have intimidated them into betraying the Ummah and American Values tm.

It is NOT “dubbed Park51” it IS a piece of Ground Zero, damaged directly by a 9/11 plane and declared to have been selected because of that connection by Daisy Khan herself!

But Shaik Ubaid of the Islamic Leadership Council of Metropolitan New York, one of the groups organizing the gathering, said he has a growing sense that some American Muslims who initially had trepidation are now throwing their support behind the plan.

I tried to find out about the background of the ILCMNY but, other than shilling for CAIR, I can’t find much; so I turned to Shaik Ubaid – PAYDIRT!

Here is a nice little piece the good Shaik wrote back on 2002 that demonstrates his far-from-moderate attitudes and aggressions; anti-semitism is only part of it.

Today I Was a Palestinian

By Shaik Ubaid

Today I was a Palestinian. One of more than 100,000 that marched down the Pennsylvania Avenue, from the White House to the Capitol. I even, briefly, marched under the shade of a huge canopy made out of the Palestinian flag. When I reached out and tentatively touched this symbol of human dignity of an oppressed people, I felt a reverence that is hard to explain. Many a night I had found myself crying silently in the night thinking of the innocent Palestinian children buried alive under the rubble in Jenin and of babies, crying with hunger and fear, cowering behind their mothers in other Palestinian towns. I was crying as much because of empathy as with guilt, after all it were my tax dollars that supported the tanks, apache helicopters and bulldozers that were raining death and destruction on the Palestinians. Today I shed a few more tears, but they were shed openly, in daylight and were tears of relief and gratitude. Watching tens of thousands of fellow Americans and fellow humans marching in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians had revived my faith in the American people. These hundred thousand “honorary Palestinians” including “Jews for Palestine”, were marching with determination, holding their banners high.

Today was the day not just to demand freedom for Palestinians; it was also to celebrate freedom. After living under fear for eight months,(ie, since 9/11) the Muslim-American community finally felt bold enough to march in such great numbers. Their sense of outrage and grief over the terrible massacres in Palestine and India had forced them to overcome their fear

Too bad they cannot feel such outrage at the massacres (in numbers of dead, not just in name) perpetrated by Muslims in India etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Yeah, too bad“! I said to the ugly triumvirate of neo-conservatives, evangelical fundamentalists and militant Zionists that rules my country’s foreign policy today. Too bad that, your desperate and last ditch effort to make America turn against its Muslim citizens and to cow the Muslims into a cowardly silence on Palestine had finally failed.

I am not sure, and I could be wrong, but that last line seemed to me to imply that 9/11 was a government plot to intimidate Muslims and make Americans hate then so Israel could be free to do their will in Israel; mmm, could be!

… Many years ago, at a hastily arranged rally in Chicago, to gain the media attention, I had suggested that we paint Hitler’s toothbrush mustache under the nose of Milosevic. Today there were tens of banners that had painted the war criminal Sharon in similar telling fashion. Then there was a “new” Israeli flag, with a blue Nazi swastika in place of the Star of David in the center and many that were equating Israel with apartheid and Zionism with racism

…

Shaik Ubaid is a physician and a former media adviser to various national Muslim organizations. He was one of the rally organizers for the Muslim community in New York area. He can be reached at: Su204@aol.com

I plan to write the good Dottore and ask him to comment on some interesting points; why don’t you do the same, Virginia? Politely and with civility but, surely do write!

Once it became a rallying cry for extremists, we had no choice but to stand with Feisal (Abdul) Rauf,” he said, referring to the New York City imam who has been leading the drive for the center.

But, which extremists? Did you join because “Islamophobic extremists made it a cause, or because CAIR and other Islamic Brotherhood linked groups issued a rallying cry to jump on the bandwagon?

Groups scheduled to participate in the summit include the Islamic Society of North America, the Islamic Circle of North America, the Muslim Alliance of North America and the Council on American-Islamic Relations

Which nicely produces the illusion of a number of organizations meeting and hashing out their differences in the name of unity; instead what we have is an interlocked web of groups that all are run by the same small clique of Muslim Brotherhood protégés; and any real moderate had better run for cover.

The private meetings were to take place at a hotel near Kennedy Airport, and the group was planning to hold a news conference Monday at the site of the proposed Islamic center.

Sarcasm Alert:

“We would not want any irrelevant folk to drop in and give their two cents worth, riff-raff like, local Muslims; we simply must keep the national Muslim narrative where it best serves the local Muslim community – out of the hands of the local Muslim community!”

Gauging support for the center among U.S. Muslims is difficult. As a group, they are diverse, ranging from blacks who found the faith during the civil rights movement to recent immigrants hailing from opposite ends of the globe. They rarely speak with one voice.

I would say that the problem is more that the Muslim national “leaders” do not care what the rank and file Muslims have to say; the Ummah is for leading, not listening to, and too many of the Ummah seem to agree!!!

…

Rauf has called for the 13-story Islamic center to be open to people of all faiths, while his co-leader of the project, Manhattan real estate developer Sharif El-Gamal, has stressed its non-religious aspects, which include a health club and culinary school.

Do these statement seem as weasel worded to you as they do to me Virginia? Open to all faiths is far from being open to expressions of other faiths; anyone can walk in and convert I suppose. Any religious center has sport facilities and kitchens etc etc…

“The summit comes as some supporters of the center have encouraged its organizers to include prayer space for Jews, Christians and other religious groups as a way of countering critics who say it will be a monument to Islamic supremacy.”

This is where is starts to get amusing; the “useful idiots” are starting to look to Rauf et al to actually ACT like the moderates they claimed to be; relax, get some popcorn, it should be a LONG wait.

Julie Menin, the chairwoman of the Manhattan community board that endorsed the project months ago, said she will meet with Rauf to discuss the interfaith possibility in the coming weeks.

They had always talked about giving the center an interfaith concept,” she said, “like having classes in Buddhism.”

I would give anything to be a fly in her car when she leaves that meeting! “Ms. Menin, Such Language, and about a “Man of God ™”!

“It’s one thing to have panel discussions, but if you really want to bring these factions togetherhave a nondenominational interfaith space, like the chapel at the Pentagon, where local rabbis and priests could hold services on different days of the week.”

Oh, isn’t she so sweet! Such a dear! I pity her for the sudden lesson on human nature she is about to absorb!

…

There was much less outreach to Muslims, Ubaid said.

Rauf, he said, may have been a regular talking head for the national news media on Muslim world affairs, but among New York City imams he was something of an outsider, Ubaid said.

He was not that involved with the local Muslim community,” Ubaid said. He said that included a general failure to round up support for the center before going public with his plans. “Had he consulted us, we probably would have told him, gently, no.”

Even after the proposal became public, there was a hesitation by some Muslim groups to quickly endorse the idea, in part because of questions about its feasibility.

…

Feasibility, or financing? Maybe the locals were reluctant to let Hamas or the Saudis buy Manhattan $24 and a Mosque.

CMSA – Images of Muslims in America Q and A Analysis

CMSASeries

The question and answer session at Assad Akhter’s CMSA panel on “discussing” the present situation for Muslim Americans as well as the “Park51 controversy” got off to a wonderful start with the moderator Suhail Khan lobbing a straw man gently underhand for Zogby to pretend to answer.

It seems Suhail can’t understand why, in the ten years since 9/11, the mood of the average American toward Islam and Muslims has changed; fear not Dr. Zogby has the answer:

“there is a general mood afoot in the country, it is part and parcel of the broader social, unraveling I think, that is taking place. umm, we had, we saw it begin last summer, um, I think some of it has to do with the fact that we have elected an African American president and some folks just can’t ingest it. There is No Question I think, that the economic distress, and the social dislocation that has occurred is part of it. Umm, and, I think at the same time that, that 8 or 9 years of, umm, disinformation has taken the toll. But if the social conditions weren’t there, if the unraveling weren’t there, I don’t think we’d see it. Uh, in exactly the same way. It is classic, uh, xenophobic nativism; we’ve seen it in our history before…”

The multiple attacks and attempted attacks in the US by America Muslims had nothing to do with it at all Zog-man? Okaaay, moving on, Salam puts in his two scheckles worth on the subject of why Americans are less trusting of Islam in 2010…

After a sycophantic salute to Dr. Zogby, Salam veers off the question to a specific and divisive attack…

“…think we are at a crossroads in our society, in terms of what, how we define America. Is America an exclusive club? Or are we going to live up to the stand, our values of pluralism.  And when people start questioning the Christianity of our president, I think that is a form of religious nationalism. I think they’re using religion to say even religion now, in America, is part of an exclusive club.”

And here I thought that pretty much all religions except, Unitarianism, were in one way or another exclusive clubs! Or am I misunderstanding Salam; maybe I can declare myself Muslim without changing a single belief and he will say, “Welcome to Islam Brother”; but, somehow I doubt it.

“And so this exploitation of the truth that is used also for political purposes, since this is now an election year coming up to the November elections. And the fact is, Muslim Americas, they are an easy punching bag for this because we… “

I have to stop and tell you to hold on to your lunch, this is the baldest lie you have ever heard on The Hill…

“…don’t have the reach, we don’t have a lobby, we don’t have a PR infrastructure.”

Got that? Maj. Hasan went his merry Jihadist way in the Army because his colleagues were afraid to be labeled by the PC police as racists; but American Muslims have no reach.

The CMSA itself is openly a lobby; Then we have Salam’s own organization MPAC, and a couple dozen other active, influential lobby groups specifically for Muslim Americans, and Muslim Americans of various ethnic extractions and national origins; but American Muslims are a punching bag because they have no lobby!

And the last, biggest lie; American Muslims have no PR infrastructure; Check out Daniel Pipe’s web site for all the refutation of that Big Lie you could ever desire; but do not forget today’s Pravda: American Muslims have no PR Network.

Tell the Big Lie with a sincere look on your face, then repeat it as though it were gospel, over and over and over again until the sheep buy it; this seems to me to be the gospel according to Salam.

“and so, while we are responding to the, to everything, the other side obviously has the microphone. It’s really the other side of extremists.”

Wow, he actually mentioned Islamic extremists, obscurely and in passing but, he mentioned them! He must be an Islamophobe!

Other than Salam telling an obscure but rather bigoted anecdote this ended the “let us lob around a softball, while ignoring the woman, and pretend it is part of the  and A” part of the program.

I will continue with the REAL Q and A, assuming they allow any real questions, in the next post.

CMSA – Moderate Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow or Just Another bunch of “Moderates”?

CMSASeries

Today Virginia I will be taking another look at the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association. This group came to my attention (see the first post in this series) when the director of CAIR dragged out their name while creating clouds of smoke to obscure his own group’s activities.  I decided to take a closer look; what I found was not reassuring to say the least.

Despite an almost, kind of, sort of gesture at communication by one board member (subject to permission from un-named elder “leaders”, apparently never extended) this group has stonewalled all attempts to obtain information due the public.

To date they have had two elections of board members, but can’t seem to agree on when they hold their elections, nor will they reveal who stood for election to each post or who got how many votes!  It should be noted however that the board was re-“elected” in toto last year; assuming the elections are yearly and not following the congressional cycle as I was told at one point.  Either way a new election should be upcoming; hey Assad, can I see the ballot of candidates this time?

I have also looked at the sources, resources and speakers they promote; I found them to be fairly representative of the pseudo-moderate Jihad-Apologist class of Islamist rather than representative of what I call the Muslim-of-the-Real-World.

Then I saw the video of the CMSA get together called Image of Muslims in the U.S on C-Span; the conference was what you would expect, but Assad Akhter, the CMSA president, said some things that did not sound like the usual blanket victimology of the pretend moderates.  Of course he parroted the usual lines about “near Ground Zero” and such, but he also admitted that while a majority of Americans did not want a Mosque at Park51, they did not mind a Mosque in their own neighborhoods; such an admission from a Muslim spokesman is unusual.

but is this proof of anything real? Let us continue to watch the show…

Next up was the selected moderator Suhail Kahn, the single Republican who allows the CMSA to exist as a “bi-partisan organization in Congress…

From the start Khan sets the definitions in his favor (which is why it is so vital for the opposition to seize back the terms) with “Park51 Community Center in Lower Manhattan” (like Pamela Geller on Hannity we must STOP and hammer the point, Park51 IS Ground Zero), “construction of a community center in Lower Manhattan.”

There was a moment of hope when he spoke of confronting things that had started to be talked about, Islam and women, Islam and terrorism and other things that had been out of his ken but no longer “on the fringe, maybe in chat rooms on the internet, [it] has surfaced and bubbled up to the mainstream conversation”!

But, he was speaking of confronting the Islamist’s favorite straw man, “Islamophobia”; and you thought he spoke of confronting the Islamist radicalism that bubbled up first?  Silly Girl, Virginia, silly girl!

272812main_image_1171_1600-1200

Because you see, in the world according to Khan the fringe of Islamophobes have so bubbled their way into the national perspective that “mainstream politicians are ACCUSING Muslims of SOMEHOW being a fifth column”; somehow, try CAIR, Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi Financed radicalist literature and triumphalist Mosques on the site of Islamist attacks?

Hagia_Sophia

In response Mr. Khan has assembled this panel to define truth as myth, patriot as pervert and to defend the stealth Jihad against all comers; And, We’re Off!

The first speaker is Salam al-Maryati, the president Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); he is the general Muslims-America apologist.

He hits the right points of the Big Lie right off the bat; “Park51 controversy“, “not at ground zero“, “can’t even see it from there“; that last ignores the fact that the MOSQUE at the top floor of the proposed building WOULD have a wonderful overview of the official Ground Zero site!

Oh, and the project is “a community center that was intended to develop interfaith understanding”; I just realized that this is a totally true statement, the success of this project WOULD communicate to the Western world an understanding of what was expected of them by their ethical, spiritual and physical master, Islam.

After reiterating how the Ground Zero Mosque title was fabricated by un-named sinister forces Salam pulls back and adds another layer of lie to his cake of deceit; he declares the GZM controversy to be causing “protests against Mosques and Muslims around the Country” but also seems to declare these protests unrelated; of special interest to him is “burn the Koran day.”

His religious hypocrisy is now at full throttle, no ranting, sweating fundamentalist preacher on Jackson Square on New Orleans ever exceeded the double-faced, judgmental tribalistic stupidity of Salam’s next diatribe:

“.. a reverend, a religious Christian leader, who will sponsor “Burning the Koran Day”, this is obviously a major issue for us”

it is? we have flag burnings, effigy burnings and protests all the time, rude? yes. Crass? Yes. Obnoxious? Certainly. A Big  Deal? Nope

Summing up:

al-Maryaki believes that only Christian ignorance of how the Quran talks about Abraham and Jesus and Moses and Mary makes people interested in burning Qurans as a political gesture; never mentioning of course that the Muslim view of Abraham and Moses is radically different from the Judeo-Christian mythology and their view of Jesus and Mary just as Heretical from virtually all Christian points of view; this is why Jews and Christians are not allowed to be open in their faith in Muslim lands, if they were TRUE Jews and Christians they would recognize that they were actually born Muslims!

al-Maryaki also believes that Americans have a responsibility to conduct their affairs so as to not produce any
“images” that might be used as “recruiting material” for al Qaeda et al!  I have a question for the spineless (at least the American part of this Muslim-American) “citizen”; just what aspect, image or ideology of Western Civilization, and America in particular, could NOT be used as “recruiting material” by al-Qaeda?

At this point we should note that other than the mentioning of the name al-Qaeda there has been not one word about what Muslims themselves do, are, or believe; everything is about OUR misconceptions, accusations and Islamophobia.

The best, or most disgusting part, is when he declares that Anti-Muslim feelings in America are a mirror of Anti-American feelings in the Muslim world; sounds right doesn’t it Virginia? Did you spot the catch; America is the one in control, we initiate unfounded anti-Muslim tantrums, then the innocent Muslim world helplessly responds with childish, but understandable anti-American feelings. And not only that Virginia! Somehow this is more of an influence on global Muslimhood “undermining our efforts” than any Local-to-the-Muslim-world issues; yep, in Salam’s world Bangladeshi Buddhists are dying because a preacher in Fl wants to burn a Quran!

Money quote #1

“Islamophobia has to be viewed as an American Problem, not just a Muslim problem”

Umm, when did he admit it was in any way a Muslim problem?

He quotes a Pew study that says 70% of Americans either have no opinion on or an unfavorable view of Islam; according to Salam this is because the extremists can tell their “story” much better than the Muslim community can tell their “story”; this despite the faux-moderate Muslims having had almost exclusive control of the mainstream media for ten years; that must be some quality story-telling, why aren’t more Hollywood screenwriter’s Wahabi’s?

In trying to disassociate the Islamist leadership in America from the “radicals” abroad Salam accidently tells some truth:

“the story of the American Muslim has not yet been told”

In part because you, and others like you, will not allow them to stick their head up above the sea of brotherhood affiliated “moderates.

Next is Azizah al-Hibri, an expert on Shariah law and also an “advocate for Muslim Women.”

Azizah starts off talking about how she discovered the buried Islamophobia in American history after coming to America; she even mentions the…

“attempt at regime change in Tripoli”

A rather vague reference to America sending in the Marines to kick some butt when the U.S got tired of hearing them explain that it was their right as Muslims to take ships and ransack them and sell the passengers as slaves.  But to Azizah this was a sign of a “misunderstanding” between the two worlds!

Summed up she managed to very charmingly say almost nothing of substance; isn’t that a job description now in DC?

Next up, the venerable apologist Zogby his own damn self!

Summed up: Snide, condescending and completely unwilling to address the actual issues; You have to love the money quote:

whatever the outcome [of the Cordoba Project due to their ideology] if these guys [the anti-Ground Zero Mosque crowd across the board] win, America won’t be America anymore!”

Oh joy, now we get to see the question and Taqiyya session! Oh Assad, are you really down with all this victimology and disingenuousness?

The Q & A is another 45 minutes, I might get to analyzing it and I might not; go see for yourself and make up your own minds

Congressional Muslim Staffers Hold “Moderate” Victimology Session on Capital Hill

CMSASeries

The Congressional Muslim Staffers Association(CMSA) is holding the next in their moderate Muslim Taqiyya session at the Rayburn Building in DC; from their twitter account…

"Muslims in America: Myths and Realities A discussion on faith Tuesday, August 31 10:00 – 11:30 AM Rayburn House Building – Room…"

And there the tweet ends… is this a tactic to confuse and delay critics who might attend? Or just poor twittering?

CAIR – Partisan Over Religion – Religious in Their Partisanship

CMSASeries

Today on Hussam Ayloush‘s personal website (Hussam is the executive director of the los Angeles CAIR affiliate) I found this post from a piece on the Huffington Post … Oh my Virginia, what is the world of “Holy Men” coming to?

There is a quote whose source I have not been able to track down that goes something like this:

A true Holy Man[or woman] is known in spite of their religion, not because of it.”

This means Virginia, that the thoughts, and feelings, and actions of the truly holy can be recognized across the lines of dogma and doctrine and other man-made fantasies meant to bolster ego more than help people to grow closer to God. In this day and age no where is this more evident than in the realms of Televangelism, Creationism, radically militant Hassidic Jews and mainstream Islam.

Articles exposing the philosophies and excesses of the first three abound across the media from the Leftist to the moderate to the almost conservative; this piece is about a new wave of holy disingenuousness rising across the Western and Eastern worlds.

Let us introduce Kamran Pasha and his piece from Huffington Post as echoed by our good friend Hussam and my response:

clip_image001

You are very imaginative Sir; have you ever considered a career writing fantasy? Or maybe creating advertising copy for cigarette companies would be more to your taste?

The ADL, which was founded in 1913 as a powerful voice against religious discrimination in America, has over the past decade become increasingly xenophobic toward the Muslim community, which its leaders seem to view as a threat to Jews due to its lack of support for Israel.”

That is very interesting. I would imagine though that their attitude comes more from the steady rise in anti-Semitism worldwide, especially in Israel, in those same ten years.

Lack of support”? Is that what you call Muslim leaders, spiritual and political, spouting genocidal rhetoric and fake history as they train their children to be robotic martyrs to the cause of eliminating Israel? Are you under the impression, Sir that no one can read Muslim news sources, or listen to Muslim leaders speak; or see records of Friday sermons declaring Israelis inhuman and all the hateful rhetoric of a nascent fascism?

MushroomCloud2

“As a Christian friend who works in the Obama Administration lamented to me recently, the ADL has in essence become the “Pro-Defamation League” when it comes to Islam and Muslims.”

Does the same obviously bigoted friend of yours walk up to his Jewish friends, and tell them that CAIR is unfortunately almost exclusively anti-Semitic in its slant on everything? No? Why ever not Sir?

Here is where it really starts to get good!

The recent comments by Abraham Foxman, National Director of the ADL, against the proposed Muslim community center in New York are the latest in a long line of incidents where members of the ADL have promoted bigotry and discrimination against Arabs and Muslims.”

This is the iron skillet calling the almost new aluminum pan black! Let us look at some actual data, instead of opinion shall we Virginia?

6,489,000 Jews in US more or less; 2.2% of the population – CAIR claims that there are 7 million Muslims in the US for, about 2.2 % (is that why the CAIR number is much higher than all other estimate, to equal the Jewish presence? Just a thought.)

So then, Virginia, all we need to do is compare the anti-Islamic crime with the anti-Jewish crime 1 to 1 for us to see who is getting the short end of religious bigotry:

  Incidents Victims Offenders Percentage
All anti-Religion: 1,519 1,732 632 100%
Anti-Jewish 1,013 1,145 353 66%
Anti-Islamic 105 130 85 7%

 http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/hc2008/data/table_01.html

(Addition 8/11; Please take note Virginia that the anti-Islamic crimes were comitted on average by only 1.2 persons per crime while the anti-Jewish crimes were more often group efforts with an average of 2.9 offenders per incident!)

Even if we use the figure for Muslims in the US given by the American Religious Identification Survey of 1.3 million (about a fifth of the CAIR number) gives a weighted comparison of anti-Jewish = 66% and anti-Islamic = 105 incidents times 5 for weighting = 525 out of 1,519 incidents equaling 35%, barely half of the anti-Semitic rate! Q.E.D.

“In 1993, the ADL illegally spied on American citizens who had spoken out in sympathy with Palestinians, generating a watch list of 10,000 names of private citizens and over 600 groups, and then selling the list to South African intelligence agents…

“Do not do unto others what you would not have others do unto you.”

clip_image005muslim-holocaust israel-swastika antisemitism01 MEMRI-ArabCartoons cartoon_20080603 protocols8

Good advice!

“To Mr. Foxman and the rest of the ADL leadership, I ask if in your hearts you would want people to accuse innocent Jews of being enemies of the state?

Would you want Jews to accept vilification of their entire religion if a handful of Jews ever did something wrong? Would you want Jews to tacitly accept the lies that bigots had projected on to them? And finally, would you want Jews to be forced to shut down their synagogues because of the misguided passions of a mob?

Would you want this done to Jews?

If the answer is no, then I ask as your Muslim brother that you follow the wisdom of Rabbi Hillel and the sages of Judaism.

True Sincerity and How to Fake It

Hussam Ayloush CAIR moderate muslim

Sincerity, what is it and how do we identify it from bald-faced lies and zealous ignorance? In two ways Virginia, in two ways; analyze what they say and compare it to all available facts; and judge them by their fruits, one of the most useful concepts to come out of Judeo/Christianity.

It is never more important to identify real sincerity than when the speaker claims a religious moral high-ground. Most religious traditions cherish a core principal of truth and honesty; a self-serving lie perverts the most noble cause at its very core – *Living* this belief distinguishes the true clergy of God, no matter their faith.

Unfortunately the extremes of the religious/partisan/tribal spectrum believe the opposite; so sure are they of the holiness of their cause that eventually any lie will come to be seen as sanctifying, instead of perverting, when applied in any fashion that can be rationalized as in service to “The Cause.”

To be sure, this trait is not confined to religious bigots, there are political movements on the Left, and Right, who share this same “holy” zeal for their vision of “how things must be.”

Here is a piece from the Great Falls Tribune in Montana that straddles both the religious and the political art of faking complete sincerity.

Part of Islamic teachings is mutual respect and acceptance, according to Hussam Ayloush, a speaker at the Islam in America symposium in Bozeman in February and a Muslim-American from Anaheim, Calif.

Why would anyone hold a symposium on Islam in America in Bozeman, Montana (pop < 30,000)? Maybe so no-one undesired is likely to show up and attend to what is actually said?

With that said, “part of Islamic teachings is…”? That is about as vague as you can get. A part? A large part? A powerful part? How about a dominant part? We will let that one go for now…

“Some Muslims disagree with American policies, Ayloush said, but that doesn’t mean they hate Americans.”

Disingenuous, thy name is partisan! “Some” can be read as most according to virtually all polls I have seen, whether by US-based, Judeo/Christian religious, or Muslim news agencies!

As to the “hate American policies[sins]” bit, sorry, the Christians use that one too; what they hate is America’s Un-Muslimness, and that means hating non-Muslim Americans; just as a radical Christian who hates homosexuality hates the gays, not just “their sin.”

“There are lines by the thousands in Muslim countries for visas to come to America,” he said. “People are proud to visit here. There’s no shame — it’s the opposite.”

MSU Adjunct Professor Thomas Goltz has spent years traveling in Muslim countries. “I have never, not once, felt uncomfortable going around the Muslim world because they were Muslim,” he said.

This is probably because Goltz is known for uncritically pro-Muslim, and anti non-Muslim, statements and articles:

Goltz’ remarks were in response a question from the audience on how to convince Armenians of Nagorno-Karabagh to stay within the “current boundaries of Azerbaijan.” Goltz, who teaches at the Montana State University, replied: “By building a forward-looking democracy you will be able to let the garlic-growing Armenians beg to join you (Azerbaijan).”

… Goltz accused Armenians of perpetrating “ethnic cleansing” in Khojaly and said the Armenia argument that the Khojaly operation was a necessary pre-emptive and defensive measure to relieve Nagorno-Karabagh’s capital Stepanakerd from relentless shelling from Khojaly was “nonsense”.

The most dramatic moment of the lectures occurred when Aris Babikian from the Armenian National Committee of Canada (ANCC) successfully refuted two controversial statements by Goltz.

At the Newsmaker Breakfast lecture, Aris Babikian, executive director of the ANCC, confronted Goltz and mocked him for his “command performance of misrepresentation and revisionism.” Babikian exposed Goltz’ hypocrisy by pointing out that the American journalist had “conveniently forgotten to mention the Sumgait, Baku and Maragh massacres of Armenians by Azeris… and that had it not been for the Russian Navy 230,000 Armenian inhabitants of Baku would have not survived.”

Ayloush explained that al-Qaida is so unwanted in Muslim countries the terrorist organization must hide. “Eight out of 10 victims (of al-Qaida) are Muslim,” he said. “Every political leader has spoken out against (them).”

Of course, to be fair he would have mentioned that BEFORE most of their victims were Muslims support for al-Qaida in the Muslim world was much, much higher… but that has nothing to do with anything, right?

This next bit is so outrageous that I am going to take it piece by piece:

“Jihad” is a term used to describe “inner struggle” and striving for the sake of God, according to Ayloush. It is “not holy war,” Ayloush stresses.

The inner struggle means controlling one’s passions and avoiding vices.

Here Ayloush is being at best sloppy and rash, and at worst a completely disingenuous dispenser of bovine produced fertilizer.  Doesn’t he understand that to tell such easily refutable lies helps his cause in the uncommitted hearts NOT ONE BIT? Here is a piece that brings together some interesting quotes from the Quran:

“Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them):

thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom. (47:4)This one states the goal of the fighting in terms that also make clear that the war is religious:And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. (8:39)And this one establishes that he warfare is against the People of the Book, that is, Jews and Christians:

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. (9:29)

Back to the article…

Arabic has no word for “holy war,” and the phrase was developed as a way to translate the word “crusade,” a Latin word and Christian idea.

Stunningly untrue: the Crusades began only after 300 years of ISLAMIC military aggression against Byzantium and the Holy Land (mostly Christian at the time), including the attacking and enslaving of pilgrims as a “religious right and duty.”  Only a mind that thinks that when Muslims murder it is sanctified by God can think that the Crusades taught MUSLIMS how to fight a holy war!

The Quran surfaced about 1,400 years ago, Kia said, and there are no verses about the United States because the country did not yet exist.

The United States has gone to war in Afghanistan and Iraq because of those countries’ policies, not religion. They just happen to have a majority Muslim population, according to Kia.

And? So? What does that have to do with anything?  The Koran, Hadith, and especially the Sharia’a, clearly deny the right of humans to create their own laws and institutions; this puts traditional Islam squarely AGAINST everything that Western societies, including America, are based on.

The Sept. 11 attacks were committed by a minority group of extremist Muslims affiliated with the terrorist organization al-Qaida, which has small networks all over the world.

And Muslims danced the world over, wherever they were more than a tiny percentage of the population! Can anyone tell me of any event involving the murder of over three thousand people that would bring out huge numbers of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Shinto, Buddhists or Neo-Pagans out to dance in joy? Such compassion! Such a peaceful outpouring of warmth and sympathy!

Christians have committed acts of terror both present-day and throughout history.

That is nice Professor, but we live NOW; tell us about the thousands murdered every day by Christians – shows us the yearly toll of thousands of Fellow Christians (but not Christian enough), and non-Christians who offend by merely BEING non-Christian. Show us where they live closer than your great-great-great-grand mother’s lifetime! You remind me of a Mafia Don excusing 30 murders committed in a year to consolidate his power because thuggish cops killed two people randomly over ten years.

In defense of a political movement that attitude is sad; in defense of a religion is it disgusting.

“The irony is that Christianity fought its holy war against Islam in the middle ages,” Kia said. “There was a Christian ‘holy war,’ there was a Christian ‘jihad.'”

You keep beating that horse, but it will never get up and run… how is it ironic that only after 300 years of murder, raid and military assault culminating in closure of access (at peril of life and freedom) to pilgrims the Christians FINALLY took up arms, and came and kicked some butt to take that formerly CHRISTIAN land back? Jihad is only bad if it is Christians? (note that I have not addressed, and certainly not defended, any excesses of the Christians involved; we are just addressing motives for now)

There are terrorist organizations throughout the world. A full list of designated groups can be viewed at http://www.state.gov/s/ct/list/, and a list by country at http://www.cdi.org/terrorism/terrorist-groups.cfm.

I am not going to spend a huge amount of time breaking down the numbers of dead by the religion of the murderers; go here and look for yourself at how utterly stupid this argument is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents,_2009

The country with the largest Muslim population is Indonesia.

And also the country with one of the fastest growing Islamist problems!!!

And that concludes our lesson in how to be truly sincere at *appearing* to be Morally Superior to your opponent.

Less than 20 percent of the 1.6 billion Muslims (according to a Pew study in 2009) in the world are Arab, Ayloush said. “It’s a religion,” he said. “Not an ethnicity.”

And let us not forget it; I don’t expect to hear Ayloush calling anti-Islamist groups racists!

“Islam Claims Jerusalem Too; Mideast: Supporters of Israel consistently attempt to diminish Muslims’ connection to the city.” and Other Fairy Tales

***UPDATE***

“What is truth?” Pilate said, and washed his hands…

Today’s complex world demands a passion for truth, by which I mean accuracy in description, not some nebulous philosophical notion subject to infinite redefinition.

Mankind has always done best when seeing clearly what was in front of our eyes and applying our creativity and will to the parts we found fun, interesting, or that quite simply sucked.  Sadly some people have always preferred to confound truth for their own short term status quotient retarding and delaying the progress of the majority.

This piece started out with me noticing an excerpt, a mere two paragraphs, from the L.A. times. The headline made me pause.  I have always loved history and the mental disconnect with what I knew stopped me in mid-click.

The headline?

Commentary; Islam Claims Jerusalem Too; Mideast: Supporters of Israel consistently attempt to diminish Muslims’ connection to the city.

Los Angeles Times – Los Angeles, Calif.

Subjects: Islam, Territorial issues

Author: RIAD ABDELKARIM; HUSSAM AYLOUSH

Date: Jul 25, 2000

At first I noticed that there was a lot of false information and misleading statements in the piece; then I tried to find any fact that was not false.  And then I looked up the background of the authors, and found that the pre-fertilizer mass descends in close proximity to the genetically spoiled cow.

First I will look at those two, wonderful paragraphs, then let us turn our attention to having a peak at what our intrepid authors have been up to for the last ten years.

Read original here;

In addition to numerous Koran references, several sayings of the Prophet Muhammad focus on the significance of Jerusalem.

From the first sentence truth and realty are very flexible for Riad and Hussam; Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Quran by name and the only reference at all I can find is to the fact that, very early in his career, he had turned away from the City of the Jews because they had rejected him; this is hardly an intimate, spiritual connection we are talking about here since the name is not even articulated!

The only other “source” of historical “proof” of the ancient connection are hadiths, or sayings of Mohammed, speaking of the al-aqsa (furthest place of worship), a religious term.  So, what happened? Let me allow Dr. Daniel Pipes, Islamic scholar, tell the tale:

“The Koran states that God took Mohammed “by night from the sacred mosque in Mecca to the furthest (al-aqsa) place of worship.” When this passage was revealed (about 621), “furthest place of worship” was a turn of phrase, not a specific place. Decades later, the Umayyads built a mosque in Jerusalem and called it Al-Aqsa. Moslems since then understand the passage about the “furthest place of worship” as referring to Jerusalem.”

However our intrepid authors do not mention this, they simply give the evolved version and move on.

In one saying, the Prophet declares that the reward or blessings for a Muslim who prays in Al Aqsa mosque is multiplied 500 times. In another saying, when asked which were the first mosques established on Earth, the Prophet replied that al Haram mosque (in Mecca) was the first, then Al Aqsa mosque (in Jerusalem). Yet another saying advises Muslims not to undertake difficult journeys except to reach three destinations: al Haram mosque in Mecca, the Prophet’s mosque in Medina, and Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.

By now anyone who had doubted the historical connection is supposed to be feeling a bit shamefaced; the blows of falsehood increase in tempo.

While maintaining a strong historical claim to Jerusalem, Muslims also recognize the importance of Jerusalem to the Christian and Jewish faiths.

As is usual with this sort of lie it is put in very reasonable terms, the reader expects things to be just as the author claims in his wounded pride for his noble past.  All is not as it seems on the surface.

http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/21530 What does a popular Islamic question and fatwa (their terms, not mine) site www.islam.qa.comseems to disagree with Riad and Hussam:

“It is not permissible for a Muslim to make friends with a mushrik non-Muslim] or to take him as a close friend, because Islam calls on us to forsake the kaafirs and to disavow them, because they worship someone other than Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Take not as friends the people who incurred the Wrath of Allaah (i.e. the Jews). Surely, they have despaired of (receiving any good in) the Hereafter, just as the disbelievers have despaired of those (buried) in graves (that they will not be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection)”

[al-Mumtahanah 60:13]

This was also the teaching of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

1 – It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say, “Do not keep company with anyone but a believer and do not let anyone eat your food but one who is pious.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2395; Abu Dawood, 4832. Abu ‘Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadeeth is hasan. It was also classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 2519).

Abu ‘Eesa al-Khattaabi said: Rather he warned against keeping company with anyone who is not pious and against mixing with them or eating with them, because eating with a person instills friendship and love in the heart.

…(Ma’aalim al-Sunan, Haamish Mukhtasar Sunan Abi Dawood, 7/185, 186).

2 – It was narrated from Samurah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not live among the mushrikeen [non-Muslims) and do not mix with them, for whoever lives among them or mixes with them is not one of us.” (Narrated by al-Bayhaqi, 9/142; al-Haakim, 2/154. He said, it is saheeh according to the conditions of al-Bukhaari. The hadeeth was also classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilat al-Saheehah, 2/229 with its corroborating reports).

But it is permissible to deal with them in a kind manner in the hope that they might become Muslim.

That is not quiet what I usually think of as respectfor MY religion or faith.

…And Allaah knows best.”

Maybe so, maybe not, but Riad and Hussam seem to feel that it is permissible to leave the truth at the door in the hope we all might become Muslim. They are really  getting off the ground now, and the truth is far, far below the clouds…

“Centuries of peaceful Islamic rule over Jerusalem, during which Christian and Jewish religious sites were protected and preserved, illustrate the esteem in which these other monotheistic faiths are held.”

This statement could be refuted with a stack of PhD theses as tall as a house; it does not pass even a cursory inspection outside of the literature produced by the likes of CAIR and the House of Saud.

here is a short list compiled in a few minutes:

After the death of Mohammed (638) a small prayer house was built on Temple Mount, Second Jewish Temple site, almost 50 years later (688 to 691 AD) the Dome of the Rock built as well on the same site.

May 28, 1948 the Arab Legion finished capturing (temporarily) the Old Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem; including  many ancient synagogues and the Western Wall of the Temple. These are and have been for approx 3,000 years, the holiest sites in the Jewish religion.
57 historic synagogues (going back all the way to the 13th century), centers of religious study and Jewish libraries were looted; 12 demolished. Religious structures that remained standing were used as housing and barns; The Western Wall became slums.

Further, the Jordanians refused access to Israeli Jews wishing to visit or worship at the Wailing Wall, Mt. Olives cemetery, Rachel’s tomb, Tomb of Abraham or any other holy places in the West Bank and Jerusalem, violating UN resolutions.

On the Mount of Olives, the Jordanian Arabs removed 38,000 tombstones, using them for paving roads, as well as construction material for latrines. After re-occupation in 1967, graves were found open, bones scattered. The cemetery had had a paved road cut though; parking lots and even a gas station were built on what had been Jewish graves. Finally, the Intercontinental Hotel was built at one end of the cemetery grounds; the Jordanian appointed caretaker built his house from stones from the ancient graves.

mo1 Here we have the Mount Olives Cemetery under Israel.

mo2d And here it is again after the Jordanians have “shown their respect

The Hurva Synagogue, built in the fifteenth century or earlier and the main synagogue for Jerusalem until  the Ottomans closed it in 1589 due to Muslim incitements; burned by Arabs(1721) it was rebuilt in the 1800’s to become a well known landmark. In 1948, when captured by the Arab Legion it was dynamited as a show of dominance over the Old Jewish Quarter.

Septemer 1996, Palestinians destroyed a synagogue at Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus, since then periodic attacks have been made on Rachel’s Tomb.
October 2000, The Israelis guarding Joseph’s Tomb were temporarily withdrawn and the shrine was torched to be rebuilt as a mosque!

20b

Let us not forget what was done to those Buddha statues!

I want to interject here a few non-Jewish examples so no one thinks this is a solely Muslim/Israel thing.

In india in the 11th century Mahmud Ghaznavi conducted raids on Temples regularly to finance his other wars.  In the early 13th Delhi Sultans carried on a policy of selective temple desecration for “political” ends. In addition to these and many, many other examples of expedient or politically motivated Temple destruction even the apologist author of Temple Destruction and Muslim States in Medieval India, Richard M. Eaton claims that spanning the period from 1192 to 1729, “one may identify eighty instances of temple desecration” that were motivated only by religious zeal and bigotry.

And then there was the Cordova Mosque, built in Cordova, Spain over the former main Visigothic Church; eventually rededicated by the Spanish as a Cathedral.

“This period of Muslim rule also demonstrates that Muslims have a proven track record of being faithful and just custodians of the Holy City. To this day, the keys to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher are entrusted to a Muslim family.”

Oh really now? Virginia, shall we look a tad closer at the history of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher?

A quick Wikipedia search revealsa slightly different tale than one of devoted and compassionate custodianship. For one thing the aforementioned keys were stolen by the conquering Muslims, who then assigned them to the family, sort of…

“In 1192, Saladin assigned responsibility for it to two neighboring Muslim families. The Joudeh were entrusted with the key, and the Nusseibeh, who had been the custodians of the church since the days of Caliph Omar in 637, retained the position of keeping the door.”

What has been the quality of the stewardship?

“On October 18, 1009, under Fatimid caliph Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, orders for the complete destruction of the Church were carried out. It is believed that Al-Hakim “was aggrieved by the scale of the Easter pilgrimage to Jerusalem, which was caused specially by the annual miracle of the Holy Fire within the Sepulchre. The measures against the church were part of a more general campaign against Christian places of worship in Palestine and Egypt, which involved a great deal of other damage: Adhemar of Chabannes recorded that the church of St George at Lydda ‘with many other churches of the saints’ had been attacked, and the ‘basilica of the Lord’s Sepulchre destroyed down to the ground’. …

European reaction was of shock and dismay, with far-reaching and intense consequences. For example, Clunaic monk Raoul Glaber blamed the Jews, with the result that Jews were expelled from Limoges and other French towns. Ultimately, this destruction provided an impetus to the later Crusades.[16].”

Well, there we have Riad and Hussam’s 2000 article in a nutshell. Or at least the summery.  But that was 2000, what – you ask, have they been up to since? I am SO glad you asked!

It seems Riad has been to Israel where he was mistaken for a terrorist supporter and detained for a while by the IDF, Jesse Jackson Managed to get this member of THE HOLY LAND FOUNDATION released and back home to L.A. post haste. He is an internal medicine doctor but I cannot find any actual ratings for him in practice.

His partner Hussum’s website has this to say:

Hussam Ayloush is the Southern California Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR) (see: http://www.cair.com). Mr. Ayloush frequently lectures on Islam, media relations, civil rights, hate crimes and international affairs. He has consistently appeared in local, national, and international media advocating and articulating the mainstream Muslim position on issues. Full biography at:

http://hussamayloush.blogspot.com/2006/08/biography-of-hussam-ayloush.html

As you all may know CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trials.  For such moderates it is strange just how many convicted terror supporters these men have worked with.  But, I am sure they must be sincere – horribly misinformed about history and of questionable knowledge regarding the meaning of the word “respect”; but, surely GOOD AMERICANS both!

…Right Virginia?
…Virginia?

CAIR’s Hooper on MCSA: Fruedian Slip or Stab in the Back?

(This is a repost of a story from the old Blogspot blog that got lost in translation):

Congressional Muslim Staffers Association

A story I read today by by Jordy Yager in The Hill struck a nerve with me. There was a quote by “honest” Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR {Council on American Islamic Relations} an organization that has been listed as an un-indicted co-conspirator in a terrorist funding case. Excuse me, the organization has not been indicted but numerous of its founding members and leaders have. The leadership of CAIR reminds me of a weird carrousel of replaceable puppets, each fretting and strutting their way across the stage until finally hung with legal ropes of their own manufacture.

At the very end of the story, which was about Congressional suspicion that CAIR has been intentionally placing interns on key Congressional commitees came this quote:

“ “plant[ing] “spies” within key national-security committees in order to shape legislative policy… specifically focused on the House Homeland Security Committee, Intelligence Committee and Judiciary Committee…

“If an organization is connected to or supports terrorists [and] is running influence operations or planting spies in key national security-related offices, I think this needs to be made known,” Hooper replied to this: “God forbid American Muslims take part in the political process and exercise their rights, I suppose they’re going to investigate the Muslim Staffers Association next.”

If these people weren’t so hate-filled, it would be laughable, but unfortunately they have an audience and, given their positions, it’s going to get picked up by the hate blogs.”…”

Now if I did not spend as much wordage as I do chastising those on my own side who let emotion rule common sense I might think Mr. Ibrahim was talking about me. But I do take a bit of offense at someone who seems to have nothing but venom for any who disagree with him to call anyone “hate-filled”. Especially when HIS advice to any Muslim approached by the FBI for info regarding Radical Islamists is that they should refuse to speak without a lawyer and notify CAIR. Recently they have added a new [rule] advisement; tell the truth. It seems that the FBI is being especially mean to Muslims who lie through their teeth even if they don’t have “hot” info. They charge them with lying to the FBI, go figure! Just because Martha Stewart can go to jail for it doesn’t mean it should be like, a LAW, you know!

Well if you get the impression that Mr. Ibrahim is not a person I would trust to babysit my niece you are on the right track. But even the un-trusted can be reliable. When you judge people by their fruit over time you will start to see patterns. Sometimes those patterns can reveal much more than the subject would like.

This is the case I feel with Mr. Hooper’s flippant and rhetorical question about the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association being the next to be investigated.

Long ago I noticed that the most fanatical of partisans, Left or Right, tend to portray their enemies as doing, with great malice, exactly the things that reality shows the partisan to be doing. This is most blatantly obvious whenever we hear fundamentalist Muslims rave about the horrific, planned and globe-dominating action plans of “The Jews”. Whenever I listen to these rants I look about to find the group they are referring to. Who could it be that is doing these kind of things? Each time I go around the global community and come back…to the very people doing the ranting. If you want to know what is in the mind of Radical Islam listen to the most fanatical Imam raving about Israel. That rant will accurately reflect their own attitude and action plan toward the Jews instead of visa versa.

I decided to take MR. Hooper at face value and see where it led. Join me for the ride, you will find Dramamine in the glove box. Continue reading
