Here is the latest from the Heretics Crusade newswire – not to be confused with the wire you find in the undergarments of… well never mind Virginia, you don’t need to know about that yet.
Anyway, here is the latest update on this story about a truck load of Monks attacked by a roadside bomb, or at least that is what hate mongering, psychopathic, name calling judgmental sites like Jihad Watch call it. I, Guy DeWhitney, know better and, I promise to bring you the TRUTH; just as soon as CAIR decides what it is for today!
This report comes from Ahzhiz Habib, of CAIR (Community Arrogantly Inciting Revolution) Los Angeles. According to my patron, um, friend, uh, according to my Habib, I mean Mr. Habib! Yes, according to Mister Habib he has actually spoken to the Imam of the Mosque attend by the men who are sought in connection with the alleged “bombing.” Once again we find that the Islamophobes have blown a simple, normal accident among neighbors as a “terrorist incident”!
These are the (un-named for security reasons) Imam’s own words:
“You see, our brothers came to greet the monks and have a barbecue in their honor…. I admit, in their zeal for reconciliation they forgot that the monks did not eat kabob. Nevertheless, the gesture was
sincere, if naive.
Once the brothers arrived at the roadside and began to assemble their new console barbecue from Jihad Depot they realized they had left the lamb at home. And so, they walked home to retrieve the all important, but unbeknownst to them useless, lamb.
I swear before god that all would have been well, barring a few nauseated and or offended monks, if the aforementioned sowers of discord had not chosen to attempt to cook a curry with haram ingredients on the already blessed barbecue in the absence of our blessed brothers. May I be stricken dead if I fail in my duty to Allah… as those trouble making monks did. The barbecue exploded. I saw this myself as I cooked my own kebab across the road.
Allah in His mercy slew only 2 of the dogs, I mean fellow citizens. It should be noted that the 2 soldiers were running toward the miscreants to attempt to stop the desecration but, they had paused to finish their cigarettes first and were too late to fully escape the wrath of Allah. It is with humility that the monks should recognise the Mercy of Allah in only killing two of their filthy number. It was a tragedy of their own making, though there are some who are convinced it was a Zionist provocation!”
And there you have it folks, nothing to see here after all, move along!
(I am sure Robert Spencer over at Jihad Watch knows my tongue was firmly in my cheek.)
I can remember when Canada was the more or less sane of the two English speaking North American nations; times they are a changin’ have changed!
I took a look at Jihad Watch prior to moving on to other, more domestic, affairs when this little number from the Calgary Herald popped up at the top; I envy Robert his “Spencidor’s Army” sending him items they glean from the net… it takes TIME to read all those news sources!
So much for domestic affairs for a while…
CALGARY – The Calgary mother who killed her teenage daughter by strangling her with a scarf more than three years ago will not have to spend a day in jail, a judge ruled on Thursday.
But, in suspending the sentence of Aset Magomadova and placing her on probation for three years, Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Sal LoVecchio said the penalty can still meet the ends of justice.
Yes, Virginia you read that right… three years probation for 2nd degree murder; it gets “better”! Let us take this nauseating mess one glob at a time; the additions in brackets are mine.
“At first blush (a suspended sentence) may sound like a get out of jail free card. It is not,” emphasized the judge.
“The court has said the act in question[murdering her daughter with her own hands]does not merit [two goats would not butt heads over this girl]a period of incarceration. [“not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (‘Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2)]
There are other, even more reliable texts that support this woman’s actions according to Shari’a law…
“The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used not to kill the children, so thou shouldst not kill them unless you could know what Khadir had known about the child he killed, or you could distinguish between a child who would grow up to be a believer (and a child who would grow up to be a non-believer), so that you killed the (prospective) non-believer and left the (prospective) believer aside.”
– Sahih Muslim Book 019, Number 4457.
On with the show…
What the court has done is reserved or to use the word of the statute, ‘suspended’ judgment on that point [the murder of her daughter] for a period of time on conditions. If the conditions are satisfied, then the individual will not be sentenced. If they are breached, the individual will be brought back to the court to be dealt with further.”
What this seems to mean is that if the lady is nice, and keeps to her probation then in three years it will be as though the murder never happened! At that time I assume the judge will go to the cemetery and wave his magic wand; the dirt will rise and the daughter will walk amongst us again, go to school, graduate, marry and live a long happy life. What is that Virginia? The corpse will just rot in the ground and a life will never be lived? Ce La Vie!
…LoVecchio deemed she did not intend to kill her, even though such an act required at least 2 1/2 minutes of continuous strangulation to cause death, and convicted her last October of the lesser included offence of manslaughter.
Manslaughter; oopsie, I just accidently, but with culpability, strangled my own freaking daughter for enough time to listen to Break On Through (To The Other Side) by The Doors and have a whole 5 seconds left to watch her eyes go dead in silence! Try it; play the track and close your eyes and just imagine the evil n this judge’s heart…
Gee Virginia, can you tell that I am a little tweaked by this judge? Knew you could!
…it was the wish of the family that “people would know mental health services for young people and hel[p] for their families will be improved, and changes made to the system, so that others who have to go through similar situations do not fall through the cracks.”
What more do you need to understand the 180 degree twist this family puts on blame, shame and trauma? Allah forbid anyone else should have to go through the horror of murdering their daughter… who mentions the daughter? No one!
Defence lawyer Alain Hepner said his client was crying after she learned she’d be free to go home and agreed it was appropriate.
…LoVecchio said he wrestled with dynamics of the family in reaching his conclusions.
“This was a family in crisis with events spiraling out of control,” he said, alluding to the friction between Aset and Aminat leading up to the deadly confrontation that morning.
MURDER, damn it, it was a murder, not a confrontation!
“It cannot be reduced to simply a case of mom choosing to kill her daughter as a form of discipline because she misbehaved. Quite simply, the events of that morning cannot be seen as a single isolated event.”
Yes, it can as I am sure that is exactly what was going through the “mom’s” mind at the time her version of Break On Through was playing in her head; and for 5 seconds longer.
Quite simply the above garbage cannot be seen as anything but trying to blame the victim or someone, anyone but the mother who strangled her daughter for AT LEAST 2 and a half minutes until she was dead, dead, dead.
But the Crown Prosecutor is not taking this lying down!
Crown prosecutor Mac Vomberg had argued for a 12-year prison term.
The Crown appealed the conviction long ago, but Vomberg said he could not comment about a possible appeal of the sentence.
“That’s up to another branch of Alberta Justice,” Vomberg said outside court, emphasizing there are “only degrees of losers, no winners” in the tragic case.
“We have to review this decision very carefully and we have to analyze exactly what are the terms of probation.”
I take that last to mean that if this Reader’s Digest Mom steps over the line even a fraction Mr. Vomberg will be there with a video camera and handcuffs.
Defence lawyer Alain Hepner said his client was crying and very relieved about not having to go to jail.
I am sure; she was probably shocked to her bones when they told her that Canada actually would send her to prison for this; and they would have, if she had not been a Muslim with “traditional ways” confusing her willing integration into Western society – and a daughter too willing to add to her confusion by adopting those ways too quickly! POOR WOMAN!
Today on Jihad Watch Hugh Fitzgerald posted the first half of a long diatribe about the Obama administrations distortions of the NASA mission. In general Hugh is on target, but he sometimes allows his partisan feelings to take him far over the line of honor, honesty and certainly that of anything we could call journalistic credibility; doing so he dilutes the influence of this writings when he is NOT off on a personal grudge-fest.
Here is my response to this little piece of attempted character assassination:
Sometimes an issue is so nuanced that it is possible to violently agree and disagree at the same time.
Hugh, much of what you say I agree with completely, but on one or two points I have to speak up.
I spend much of my time and energy focusing on the partisanship that taints and spoils so much of our political discourse. I dislike it when those I am against use it; I like it even less when putative "allies" stoop to mudslinging and tarnishing the innocent to win a point.
In your piece you say the following…
"The first remark in question was made by Charles Bolden, a former general who for reasons that are still unclear was appointed by the Obama Administration to be the head of NASA, though his knowledge of or interest in space exploration and the relevant science is unclear."
Sir, do you have any respect at all for the notion of not bearing false witness whatsoever? I find none in this blatantly slanderous "hyperbole" you present as an argument from authority against Gen. Bolden.
Let us shine a little reality on the subject Sir:
Bolden is a 1968 graduate of the United States Naval Academy (you know the school that is so easy to get into and graduate from, a real smooth sail), he was a Marine attack pilot. Those are the guys who get down low and try to hit things with bombs and guns while every mother’s son is trying to shoot them down with everything from handguns to high-tech anti-air emplacements; this takes more balls than dog fighting some poorly trained Viet Cong in a Mig. (Just a thought Hugh, what is your technical or military background, hmm?)
Bolden is 1968 graduate of the United States Naval Academy (you know that school that is so easy to get into, and graduate from; a real slackers dream), he was a Marine attack pilot: those are the guys who get down low and try to hit things with bombs and guns while every mother’s son on the ground (and some in the air) are trying to shoot them down with everything from handguns to high-tech anti-air emplacements and missiles; this takes more balls than dog fighting some poorly trained Viet Cong in a Mig. He flew more than 100 sorties (planning, prep, flight, attack, survive, return, do it again) and has a total of over 6,000 hours flying time logged. Now I understand that poly-sci and English majors don’t always take the time to do the math but, that is the equivalent of over 3 YEARS of 8 hours a day five day fulltime work – more than a month total time. Three years of full time work, all in the cockpit, off the ground added to all the training, prep and debriefing a pilot, especially a test pilot, endures to be able to fly!
He then became a test pilot which takes a cool head and good nerves combined with intelligence and lots of common sense. Oh, and it has a lot to do with understanding ALL the factors in creating, deploying and using ultra-high tech aviation and astronautical stuff; it also include having the sense to survive other idiots brilliant ideas. This is not relevant to the job of head of NASA?
Next Bolden becomes an astronaut, (No relevance to NASA there):
“Selected by NASA in May 1980, Bolden became an astronaut in August 1981. His technical assignments included: Astronaut Office Safety Officer; Technical Assistant to the Director ofFlight Crew Operations; Special Assistant to the Director of the Johnson Space Center; Astronaut Office Liaison to the Safety, Reliability and Quality Assurance Directorates of the Marshall Space Flight Center and the Kennedy Space Center; Chief of the Safety Division at JSC; Lead Astronaut for Vehicle Test and Checkout at the Kennedy Space Center; and Assistant Deputy Administrator, NASA Headquarters.”
IN addition he has been on four (STS-61C, STS-31, STS-45, STS-60) missions for a total of 680 in space; this includes being mission commander for STS-45.
“Bolden was the first person to ride the Launch Complex 39 slidewire baskets which enable rapid escape from a space shuttle on the launch pad. The need for a human test was determined following a launch abort on STS-41-D where controllers were afraid to order the crew to use the untested escape system.”
If he is not qualified to have an opinion on how NASA could be improved and run better, WHO THE HELL DOES; someone with similar experience not appointed by a president you hate? The ghost of Tomas Jefferson today peers over your shoulder squinting at your words in disappointment.
I do not know about you, but with his background and after watching that WHOLE interview Bolden sounds to me like an absolutely head administrator for NASA. Can you explain (in real, non-emotional) terms why you do not agree?
Or, did you just figure your loyal followers would take your word for Bolden’s background, watch a minute of the video, and then play ”she tells two friends” spreading your dislike for an Obama appointee all over the net; needless to say jeopardizing the career of someone that you have no real reason to attack and harm?
Now, go and watch the entire interview and tell me, using actual full quotes taken in context, just what he said that was so bad, other than the one sop to Obama’s perception of Muslims needing help to be seen as a source of Western enlightenment?
