Who is Right vs. What is Right: Finding Solutions Instead of Being Part of the Problem

Heretics Crusade by Guy DeWhitney

I actually see a sea change happening in the West regarding Islamic aggressions. It will most certainly still be a long and twisted road but, I do think that it is inevitable that the Western ways will prevail.

The total flip-flop of governmental concerns regarding potential violence from Islam and Christianity in the eyes of the law is utterly insane. It only makes sense to formulate an objective, constitutionally sound, policy/strategy for identifying and dealing with all ideologically driven extremist groups that might pose a threat to anyone’s life, limb or property.

Unless we wish to dispose of the First Amendment we must always forbid to the government the ability to say “This is a real religion but, that one is false” or we will quickly find that one denomination/trend in theology has become dominant. I for one would rather keep my freedoms, even if it is a harder road.

The best test I have ever seen for identifying worrisome religious groups is

‘THE Advanced ISAAC BONEWITS’ CULT DANGER EVALUATION FRAME’

I have edited it a bit for space and clarity…

In order to utilize the frame, assign each item a value from 1 to 10 points, with 1 being “Low” and 10 being “High“. Religions with total scores towards the high end of the scale are more than likely un-healthy groups for anyone.

1. Internal Control:
Amount of internal political and social power exercised by leader(s) over members; lack of clearly defined organizational rights for members.

2. External Control:
Amount of external political and social influence desired or obtained; emphasis on directing members’ external political and social behavior.

3. Wisdom/Knowledge Claimed by leader(s):
Amount of infallibility declared or implied about decisions or doctrinal/scriptural interpretations;…

6. Recruiting:
Emphasis put on attracting new members; amount of proselytizing; requirement for all members to bring in new ones.

As near as I can tell, with the most generous of judgment possible, normative Islam. scores 140!

With an objective test such as this it is possible for law enforcement to merely point to a high score when asked about why a certain religious community is being monitored for actual criminal activity; it worked it Ireland, the key is to enforce it strictly and enforce it strictly across the board!

Dearborn Michigan Arab Festival Enforces Sharia Law: Christians Be Silent or Be Mobbed

bugs-bunny-minuteman-jihad-crusade-islamists

Having lived in New Orleans a number of years and having spent a lot of time observing Jackson Square, where all the Tarot and Palm readers hang out, I have seen a great many Christian street preachers at work. Many of them are obnoxious and some are positively toxic and flout the law left and right because the “rightness” of their faith has convinced them that they can do no wrong in the service of their god.

On the other hand many are sincere, faith-feeling folk with a great inner love and compassion for their fellow man; whether I agreed with their message or not, such people were never offensive to me. But, other than the few who flouted the law, like the fellow with the megaphone from Radio Shack who already knew it was illegal but used it for over an hour until TOLD by the police not to use it, only then did he comply; and repeated this tactic with another shift of police later in the day! Then there was the man who stood on the steps of the Saint Louise Cathedral during service and preached (to the square, back to the church, I guess this made it ok in his mind) a hellfire and damnation rant that included just about everyone in the square, including the parishioners in the building behind him, as hell-bound sinners in need of his message for their soul’s sake.

The fun thing about freedom of speech though, others were free to answer back! It is not right to disrupt someone’s legal speech, but responding is certainly ok! I answered a few myself when they crossed the line. I went toe to toe with the megaphone man and with greater volume (thank you theater training) gave him hell for not having enough passion in Christ to preach the message with his own lungs, relying on devil spawned technology to shove his words into unwilling ears. Yes Virginia, I can have an attitude, but I always have fun! I have also stood BETWEEN an obnoxious but legal preacher and a bunch of immature Pagan types who wanted to mess with him in ways that were more obnoxious than what he had done himself… Hypocrisy is never fun to watch and the Square was my professional home and I defended it.

The thing is though, this was all verbal, in 8 years I never saw anyone who wasn’t obviously mentally disturbed or blind drunk every try, note I said try not succeed, in initiating violence or mob intimidation tactics. The video that follows shows something very different from anything I ever witnessed, regardless of the religion of the preacher or the crowd.

I would want to talk to a lawyer but, I do believe that the actions of the crowd, and its instigator/leaders, can be seen as an active, spontaneous, conspiracy to deny the preacher his civil rights! Recast the scene with a black man preaching to white townsfolk about joining his church in 1945 Alabama and it would appear a heinous violation of the preacher’s identity as a human being by a hateful, bigoted mob. The man even appears Arab, but, for daring to preach any “gospel” but theirs he is all but set upon and the mob is allowed to intimidate the man to leave a public space where he has been exercising his rights… If this video is not a bit Orwellian to you, then Virginia, you just have not been paying attention.

Act 17 Apologetics is, in my opinion a bit aggressive but, they come nowhere near crossing the line on first amendment rights to share religious “opinion” in the public square, as such they are to be defended in their rights as vehemently as any co-religionist of ALL Americans!

Frankly, the cops should have loudly told the crowd that the man had the right to preach all he wanted and that if they persisted in harrasing him to leave they would be arrested for conspiracy to violate his civil rights and any RICO/Mob related laws they could think of that might apply, now go back to your festival and have fun, or else!

Do Not Adjust Your Map; Canada Has Entered… The Shari’a Zone

asethonorkiller

Photograph by: Colleen De Neve, Calgary Herald

I can remember when Canada was the more or less sane of the two English speaking North American nations; times they are a changin’ have changed!

I took a look at Jihad Watch prior to moving on to other, more domestic, affairs when this little number from the Calgary Herald popped up at the top; I envy Robert his “Spencidor’s Army” sending him items they glean from the net… it takes TIME to read all those news sources!

So much for domestic affairs for a while…

CALGARY – The Calgary mother who killed her teenage daughter by strangling her with a scarf more than three years ago will not have to spend a day in jail, a judge ruled on Thursday.

But, in suspending the sentence of Aset Magomadova and placing her on probation for three years, Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Sal LoVecchio said the penalty can still meet the ends of justice.

Yes, Virginia you read that right… three years probation for 2nd degree murder; it gets “better”! Let us take this nauseating mess one glob at a time; the additions in brackets are mine.

“At first blush (a suspended sentence) may sound like a get out of jail free card. It is not,” emphasized the judge.

“The court has said the act in question [murdering her daughter with her own hands] does not merit [two goats would not butt heads over this girl] a period of incarceration. [“not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (‘Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2)]

There are other, even more reliable texts that support this woman’s actions according to Shari’a law…

“The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used not to kill the children, so thou shouldst not kill them unless you could know what Khadir had known about the child he killed, or you could distinguish between a child who would grow up to be a believer (and a child who would grow up to be a non-believer), so that you killed the (prospective) non-believer and left the (prospective) believer aside.”
– Sahih Muslim Book 019, Number 4457.

On with the show…

What the court has done is reserved or to use the word of the statute, ‘suspended’ judgment on that point [the murder of her daughter] for a period of time on conditions. If the conditions are satisfied, then the individual will not be sentenced. If they are breached, the individual will be brought back to the court to be dealt with further.”

What this seems to mean is that if the lady is nice, and keeps to her probation then in three years it will be as though the murder never happened! At that time I assume the judge will go to the cemetery and wave his magic wand; the dirt will rise and the daughter will walk amongst us again, go to school, graduate, marry and live a long happy life. What is that Virginia? The corpse will just rot in the ground and a life will never be lived? Ce La Vie!

…LoVecchio deemed she did not intend to kill her, even though such an act required at least 2 1/2 minutes of continuous strangulation to cause death, and convicted her last October of the lesser included offence of manslaughter.

Manslaughter; oopsie, I just accidently, but with culpability, strangled my own freaking daughter for enough time to listen to Break On Through (To The Other Side) by The Doors and have a whole 5 seconds left to watch her eyes go dead in silence! Try it; play the track and close your eyes and just imagine the evil n this judge’s heart…

Gee Virginia, can you tell that I am a little tweaked by this judge? Knew you could!

…it was the wish of the family that “people would know mental health services for young people and hel[p] for their families will be improved, and changes made to the system, so that others who have to go through similar situations do not fall through the cracks.”

What more do you need to understand the 180 degree twist this family puts on blame, shame and trauma? Allah forbid anyone else should have to go through the horror of murdering their daughter… who mentions the daughter? No one!

Defence lawyer Alain Hepner said his client was crying after she learned she’d be free to go home and agreed it was appropriate.

…LoVecchio said he wrestled with dynamics of the family in reaching his conclusions.

“This was a family in crisis with events spiraling out of control,” he said, alluding to the friction between Aset and Aminat leading up to the deadly confrontation that morning.

MURDER, damn it, it was a murder, not a confrontation!

“It cannot be reduced to simply a case of mom choosing to kill her daughter as a form of discipline because she misbehaved. Quite simply, the events of that morning cannot be seen as a single isolated event.”

Yes, it can as I am sure that is exactly what was going through the “mom’s” mind at the time her version of Break On Through was playing in her head; and for 5 seconds longer.

Quite simply the above garbage cannot be seen as anything but trying to blame the victim or someone, anyone but the mother who strangled her daughter for AT LEAST 2 and a half minutes until she was dead, dead, dead.

But the Crown Prosecutor is not taking this lying down!

Crown prosecutor Mac Vomberg had argued for a 12-year prison term.

The Crown appealed the conviction long ago, but Vomberg said he could not comment about a possible appeal of the sentence.

“That’s up to another branch of Alberta Justice,” Vomberg said outside court, emphasizing there are “only degrees of losers, no winners” in the tragic case.

“We have to review this decision very carefully and we have to analyze exactly what are the terms of probation.”

I take that last to mean that if this Reader’s Digest Mom steps over the line even a fraction Mr. Vomberg will be there with a video camera and handcuffs.

Defence lawyer Alain Hepner said his client was crying and very relieved about not having to go to jail.

I am sure; she was probably shocked to her bones when they told her that Canada actually would send her to prison for this; and they would have, if she had not been a Muslim with “traditional ways” confusing her willing integration into Western society – and a daughter too willing to add to her confusion by adopting those ways too quickly! POOR WOMAN!

The Worm is Surely Beginning to Turn On The Islamists in the West: Credit Where Credit is Due

Today the Huffington Post, a blog more known for its Leftward bias than its claimed moderate stand actually made good on its claims today. There is an article linked from Marie Claire that is unashamedly about honor killing in the West.  Not one line or even a word of Islamist apologetics!

"An American Honor Killing

In a quiet suburban parking lot outside of Phoenix, a father floors the gas on his Jeep Grand Cherokee and heads straight for his 20-year-old daughter. His goal: to protect his family’s "honor." Yes, honor crimes have washed up on our shores.

Deoband fatwa: It’s illegal for women to work, support family

theocracy
LUCKNOW:

Darul Uloom Deoband, the self-appointed guardian for Indian Muslims, in a Talibanesque fatwa that reeked of tribal patriarchy, has decreed that it is "haram" and illegal according to the Sharia for a family to accept a woman’s earnings. Clerics at the largest Sunni Muslim seminary after Cairo’s Al-Azhar said the decree flowed from the fact that the Sharia prohibited proximity of men and women in the workplace.

"It is unlawful (under the Sharia law) for Muslim women to work in the government or private sector where men and women work together and women have to talk with men frankly and without a veil," said the fatwa issued by a bench of three clerics. The decree was issued over the weekend, but became public late on Monday, seminary sources said.

At a time when there is a rising clamour for job quotas for Muslims in India and a yearning for progress in the community that sees itself as neglected, the fatwa, although unlikely to be heeded, is clearly detrimental.

Even the most conservative Islamic countries, which restrict activities of women, including preventing them from driving, do not bar women from working. At the peak of its power, the Taliban only barred women in professions like medicine from treating men and vice versa. But there was a never a blanket ban on working, although the mullahs made it amply clear that they would like to see the women confined to homes.

The fatwa, however, drew flak among other clerics.

"Men and women in Sharia are entitled to equal rights. If men follow the Sharia, there is no reason why women can’t work with them," said Rasheed, the Naib Imam of Lucknow’s main Eidgah Mosque in Aishbagh.

Mufti Maulana Khalid Rasheed of Darul Ifta Firangi Meheli — another radical Islamic body which also issues fatwas — criticized the Deoband fatwa as a retrograde restriction on Muslim women.

The fatwa was in response to a question whether Muslim women can take up government or private jobs and whether their salary should be termed as `halal’ (permissible under the Sharia) or `haram’ (forbidden).

Well-known Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad, however, justified the fatwa. "Women in Islam are not supposed to go out and earn a living. It’s the responsibility of the males in the family," he said. "If a woman has to go for a job, she must make sure that the Sharia restrictions are not compromised," he added, citing the example of Iran, where Muslim women work in offices but have separate seating areas, away from their male counterparts.

In Lucknow, a city with strong secular and progressive traditions, where Muslim families train their daughters to be doctors, engineers and executives, there was a sense of shocked disbelief even in conservative quarters that such a decree could come from those who consider themselves to be advocates of the community.

"I am also a working woman and also ensure that my Sharia is not compromised," said Rukhsana, a lecturer at a girl’s college in Lucknow and a member of the executive committee of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). "It’s not necessary that one would have to go against the Sharia when going to work."

"Name one Islamic country which does not have a national airline and does not hire airhostesses? If I know correctly, even the Saudi Airlines has hostesses and they don’t wear a veil," said Shabeena Parveen, a computer professional in the city.

The Jerry Falwell of Islam Today

Wow! I just finished watching this video from “peace”tv. The intro and “commercials” are rather distrubing but, the main lecture is  by a man who could be considered as close to a moderate as devout Muslims get.

It is a long vid but it is worthwhile to watch the whole thing. This is the Jerry Fallwell of Islam not the Rev. Phelps! Watch it all and consider if there might be a problem to the West.
